I was debating to add-on to what was going on so im doing it now.
CR2 130 should go to Britain because:
When Gaijin eventually bring in the up-gunned MBTs, Germany already has 3 they can get. PZ 87/Leopard 2-140 and Leopard KWS III and KF51.
I personally haven’t seen any other up-gunned MBTs that exists for Britain outside of the CR2 130.

The forum mod also said that “both nations have a fair claim to the tank”, so they clearly think it isn’t unreasonable for it to go to Britian either
At the end of the day, Gaijin has two options:
- Add it to the German tree → British mains go wild and complain that Germany gets a Challenger 2 instead of Britain when Britain desperately needs good top tier MBTs.
- Add it to the British tree → British mains are happy and a couple of die hard German mains complain for a week or two then forget, most German mains don’t care.
They could add it for both trees, but I doubt Germany mains would complain enough (if it was added to the British tree) for them to bother doing that.

When people refer to the “all new turret” of the Challenger 3 they are referring to the actual Challenger 3 made by RBSL, they are not referring to the tech demonstrator (LEP) made by Rheinmetall.
The LEP turret, as reflected ingame, is just a modified CR2 turret with some new tech and a new gun.

LEP turret it’s a built by rheinmetall, in 2 articles one of them being from Janes Review Even states the build of the turret it’s completely from rheinmetall, rheinmetall used their turret to modify it and adapt a 130 mm gun, of course it was a pretty heavy modification, that one was completely rheinmetall’s tho, that is as far as i know

It’s not the idea of a Challenger going to Germany that bothers me. It’s the fact that German Mains kicked off violently when we suggested we might get a Leopard. Double standards much?

Nah they putting a kind of reasonable argument wich is the Challenger 130 was Made by a German company on the base of a Challenger 2 wich they did without any funds from the Uk like the vickers MK7 wich was Made on the base of a leopard 2 without funds of the German governmnent, still it should go to britain nontheless

If its not in service they can just pull the stats out their ass even more. I have zero faith in Gaijin modelling a single British vehicle correctly.
The CR3 TD has good fire power giving me that piece of crap hull and turret with a slower firing 130mm is not an upgrade.

Honestly Gaijin need to stop pandering to the big 3. It’s exhaustive, we should have this, we should have that, my tank should have the best armour.
At this point have it, its a CR2 so way worse than a Leopard 2A4 and its going to have a bigger heavier gun, weaker armour for a gun with more pen and a slower rate of fire. No thanks
