It does get a cover on it, but they apperantly removed it

i meant the scope. they cant remove that as it appears to be welded into the turret, its just covered

Looks like the CR2 refinements might be a bit delayed, unlike in the devblog where they said the changes will come in the next major update it seems they may come later.
Hopefully they take the time to get them right

Seems the new event cycle on top of the previous commitments and roadmap and usual update pattern is stretching them a little thinner than usual :p
Some more backplate shenanigans you can see quite clearly that the middle part is thicker
