also in the article:
“The turret was developed on Rheinmetall’s own initiative and was not funded by the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) for the Challenger 2 LEP assessment phase. The smoothbore gun was not part of the MoD’s LEP requirement, with the request for proposals focusing on mission system obsolescence.”
hey u go ahead and prove it, i only quoted the rheinmetall CEO, i am looking forward to your sources.
Besides that genius, a 130mm and 120mm autoloader are different, you know the size matters
still being stupid i see. The whole reason this modification has been made was to pitch the 130mm cannon for the race in the MGCS. The challenger 130 being 1 single advertisment of its capabilty and workability to germany
“The main objective for Rheinmetall is the MGCS programme, in which the 130 mm competes against Nexter’s 140 mm proposal.”
Challenger was only choosen cause your fat ass turret was easier to modify
“The British tank is a little wider than the Leopard 2, making things easier,”
Rheinmetall wanted to be lazy, it has no relation to the UK
CR 3 is a british mod project and only is for them.
The challenger 130 had nothing to do with the british project, its a standalone venture aimed at germany
The ddr was a official part of the Germany military and all the equipment was moved on to the unique German bundeswehr we literally have photos of bmp1a1 bmp2s and t72 in unified German service
in service is no requirement to be added to a tree , with the exact same statement the britains have no claim to it either, since there is no challenger 130 in service either, developed /exported vehicles whose user nation arent in game go to the nation that developed /exported them. Thats the standard rule most of the time, how it always was handled by gajin
Following the official suggestion rules it goes to germany, platantly, the british suggestion being made was against their own rules since the mod that handled it didnt now better.
There is no british intrest you can officialy prove either. The only hard facts that are proven is that its a standalone rheinmetall project made as an advertisment for germany.
Britains have not shown intrest in 130mm further and havent ordered them either.
Although this is not an official flowchart, I have merged several rulesets and flowcharts into one so people can find out where they best put their suggestion (nationwise), it is however not perfect, but would still help you in deciding where demonstrators and other vehicles end up in (suggestion-wise).
gaijin can always choose to place such a vehicle somewhere else if they determine the need for such is there, therefore ths flowchart is only an unofficial guideline, not any established rule.
Its enough for implementation.
Lead of the country project matters, ehere its developed for who.
Vickers mk7 to uk.
Boxer mgs to germany and so on.
I am only citing the standard implementatipn rules and official statements by rheinmetall.
You are part of the problem, you are ok with the vickers and so on, but whennits your turn to accept a vehicle has a different origin you cant accept it
