The only thing better is the ammo but to be honest that makes little difference. The new round doesn’t kill anything the other chally 2 can kills. Nothing else makes it better, it’s actually weaker then the other chally 2 or identical in practically every other way.

752mm of pen vs 650mm.
DM53 has 102mm more pen at 100 meters against 60 degree plates.
It does make a difference.
Imo it makes little difference if you can kill it with challenger 3 you can kill it with challenger 2.
It has less engine now then some challenger 2, less armour missing the combat packages, takes more Spall damage because it lacks Spall lining, doesn’t have active protection of any the other gimmicks some other chally 2 have. I. All its a weaker chally 2 with a higher pen round that as I said, Imo, makes no difference.
It has identical engine to the Challenger 2s.
APS doesn’t help against APFSDS.
Spall lining isn’t as big as you think.
So as I said:
All of them are equal to each other in varying ways.
Although it does have a reload that’s 20% longer than the other Challenger 2s.
That’s a 1 second difference with a fully maxed out, ace crew, 1.3 seconds with a fully stock one.

Challenger 2E - (stock) 2325 Hp, has full spall liner
Challenger black night - (stock) 1886 Hp, active protection (which defends against atgm, rockets, heatfs etc), has full spall liner.
Challenger 3 - (stock) 1860 Hp, no active protection, half the spall liner protection, no additional armour protection. this is practically a 11.3 challenger 2 with less spall protection, and a better round but longer reload.
as for pen I’d like to point out at these battle ratings much combat can easily be past 1000m and at those ranges the penetration difference at 60 degrees is less then 50mm. I’m not arguing this isn’t technically a better round but what I’m saying this version of challenger is the weakest form replacing a round that can do the same job despite the penetration difference. there is nothing the L27a1 can’t kill the dm53 can’t.

No one is saying that, but the 3TD is essentially a trade off from the chally 2 series now trading firepower for protection, so unlike the BN and 2E, it is not just geting something better. Therefore if it was nerfed, the BR should have gone down.

Challenger 3TD =/= Challenger 3
Challenger 3 TD is what was planned (i.e better engine) but with the downsides of misisng things line spall liners, blow out panels and armour
If the Challenger 3TD has the weaker engine of the production model, then it should also have the armour, spall liners and blow out panels of the full production model. Picking and choosing to make it the worse top tier tank in the game is just unfair

Same armor, same mobility, better pen but worse reload, it’s a sidegrade to the normal Challenger 2 at best, but a BR step above it.
For example, the CT-CV105HP and the M1128 sit at the same BR, but I’d always take the 105HP over the M1128 because, while DM33 is significantly weaker than M900, the reload is a lot better on the 105HP.
Anything to nerf british top tier, they cant dare have an outlier that isn’t soviet

The treatement to Britain is outrageous. The TD is not even the production variant yet it was decided to go that way anyways. Britain also got stuck with AIM-9L instead of M for stock grinding.

People in mandarin forums place Britain, China and Israel as the top 3 mistreated trees of the game. Now we even arrive in the conclusion that China and Israel perhaps got a better deal than Britain.

Yeah. I think its time for our 11.3 Chally 2s to be 11.0 and the other 3 including the 3TD to be 11.3. And thats being generous on BR placement

the worse reload is just for the 3 first shots, after that the challenger 3 reloads faster.
There are lot of discussions that needs to be done about Britain. This is dissapointingly appalling.
11.3 CR2s towards 11.0 and all 11.7 CR2/3s at 11.3
Transmission on the CR2E is yet to be changed
Stormer HVM at 10.3 is outrageously overtiered
Chieftain Mk.3 and 5 both needs to be at 8.3
Desert warrior is not worthy of 10.0 combining the worse of ROF and pen on western IFVs
All HESH-related mechanics needs a rework towards consistency
AIM-9L stock for SHAR and F3 CSP
Vampire and venom were kept at their legacy BR, so does the hunter
The BR placement for multiple high-end props requires adjustment, such as the sea fury
The lack of a 7.0 TT battleship
Lack of a TT top tier naval since danger zone(2 years ago).

I agree completely with everything else, except maybe the Stormer’s BR. but it is still very very buggy and has WAY too many outstanding bug reports for a vehicle that has been in the game as long as it has. Heck they still havent fixed its missile phasing through targets.
You also havent mentioned things like the French Hunter F6 with 2x Aim-9B and drop tanks being 9.0 meanwhile the Hunter F1 is 9.0 with neither and the weaker engines. Hunter F6 hasnt even got Drop tanks yet either. SRAAMs in their currrent state are barely worthy of 9.3.
