CAS spam and a detailed breakdown of an average game at US toptier

I think that the CAS spamming has gone to absolute extremes in this day and age.
When you kill a T80BVM you just know that they’re going to either pull out the Ka-52 or the Su-34 and send a missile at you, which you are just not able to counter, even with SPAA, but we’ll talk about that later in this post.
Now lets talk about this replay of a game I have played recently.
The chaos unfolds just 2:30 minutes into the beggining of the battle. A player with a single kill and nothing else spawns in a Mi-28NM, 8km from the battlefield and with a full loadout of 12 Vikhrs.

At the same time, a player on my team with only a base captured pulls out a AH-64D with 16 Hellfires, keep in mind, all they had to do was capture a single base and they can calmly spawn in a heli with a full loadout 2 and a half minutes into the game.

3:22 into the match, the player with the most overpowered jet currently in ground toptier spawns in, with 948 score, one base cap, a kill and two assists. Spawns in a Su-34 with 6 Kh-38MTs, right as he spawns in, all three of his missiles he fires hit a target and he gets three completely free kills without lifting a finger. Now of course our SPAA tries to kill him, but he just goes cold at 9km range, and the SPAA doesn’t even scratch him when they die to the overpowered missile that is the Kh-38MT

This is how the player pool looks like 3:49 into the match, everyone either died to CAS spam or got spawncamped, and just decided to not spawn in anymore and waste their time and patience.

3:49 into the match, another Su-34 spawns in, with the same loadout as the previous one, this guy only got a single kill, and captured a base.

Now, right as he spawns in, beyond range of any NATO SPAA, he can safely spam his Kh-38s, because the three previous CAS spammers already eliminated any of our chances of SPAA. So he safely spams away all his six missiles and get two kills, because there already was nothing to kill anymore.

Then the worst joke of an SPAA spawns in, the pantsir. Now I won’t ramble about it alot, I made a forum post about it already. (When are we going to balance the SPAAs?) he spawns in, kills our heli and he’s basically untouchable, this means that the other team can feel free to spam their overpowered missiles all they want, since our spaa won’t even look at them and they’re dead, while the pantsir is going to kill a plane right as it spawns in at 15 km away from the battle. In three seconds the plane, whatever it was, is disassembled in pieces and is more of a fireball than a CAS plane.

The game then goes on like this, nothing changes, we get spawncamped by CAS and Kh-38s are shoved into us. We lose blatantly and there was literally nothing that we could’ve done about it.

My suggestion to fix the absolutely obvious issue, that almost everyone sees, but gaijin seems to ignore it for some reason?

  1. NERF THE EVERLIVING SOUL out of the Su-34, F15E, F16C, Su-27SM, MiG-29SMT in ground RB, nerf the missiles, the JDAMS, the GBU-39, the Groms, and especially nerf the hell out of helis, make their SP cost WAY higher than they are now. I’m sorry, but for about 600 sp you can spawn in a heli with 12 vikhrs??? Make every single weapon slot cost SP, the more armanent you take, the more SP you pay. Maybe even double the amount of SP you need to take out a jet.

  2. BUFF the NATO SPAAs, and radar guided anti air missiles. Ever since the radar guided AA missiles were nerfed, problems like these started to surface, sure, it might take away the realism from the game, but I think the realism is long gone ever since we started adding russian prototypes from 2014 into the game (2s38, Yak-141, Su-34).

  3. Give us specialized loadouts for Anti-CAS planes that cost less SP, for example you can spawn in a F-16C with only aamraams for less SP so you can counter the enemy’s air vehicles. But I think the two previous changes would help ALOT.

thank you for reading the whole post, and I really hope you share this to as many people as you can, so we can change the current state of ground RB. :)

Forced airfield spawn and dynamic (as function of max br in match) airfield locations would probably help too.

Even with a bf109, yak9 or f4u it takes barely 20 or so seconds to be above the battlefield and ready to start cannoning or dropping bombs after first spawn and rtb, land, rearm, take off and drop bomb again is around 140-180 seconds total depending on optimization and crew skills for repair speed.

A tiny bit ridiculous i feel.

Time to rtb, land, rearm, take off and be within weapons range should probably be doubled to something like 5 minutes for the average aircraft for a given br bracket

Sad to see people putting such efforts into topics and then not being to hide how obvious their biases are. You’ll get nowhere making this a Russian-OP, Russian-bias topic. Just like Soviet/Russian mains get nowhere when whining about the inabilities of the SU-27 at top-tier. So with this being a pointless topic, I’m going to give a shout out to the QN506 - a vehicle that gets hated on, but one that you can uptier to top-tier and donk every single helicopter in the game, no matter how far away they are or what they do to try hide from or dodge the missile. Its missile makes the spike missile look like a toy.

Su-34 being a prototype… nice info, truly a prototype plane 😂😂

The Su-34 is a plane that was made a prototype in 1990, since the USSR wasn’t able to finish it’s development, it stayed a prototype until 2014, when it entered service. So, the statement is only partially true for said vehicle, since it was a prototype until 2014, when it was finally introduced into use. Still, I don’t really understand how it makes sense to have a 2014 jet in the game, when it’s documents can easily be misleading.

A 2014 jet that is still worse than most NATO CAS
but in one aspect, namely called Kh-38MT

It’s funny how first spawn in GRB turns into nothing more than a race who will spawn overpowered CAS first and dunk on those unfortunate ones that are still fighting on the ground.
