Also CAS is more than viable and playable in other game modes. In Air Sim, CAS wins battles. No amount of air kills without bombers or attackers is gonna outweigh the impact of a wing of P47s, Il-2s, Bf110s or whatever going to absolute town on ground pushes in prop tier SB EC. Those things bleed tickets incredibly fast if you don’t contest them, and they’re quite capable of defending themselves!

GRB isn’t the only place for CAS to shine.

(and honestly, flying in SB isn’t hard. Just needs a session to practice/study basic flight stuff that Requiem has on his youtube, and you can be quite capable with MnK and a big screen. Even more so if doing CAS and not in the middle of a furball).

Honestly, i’ve previously also argued in favour of updating air AB and RB bases and ground targets in general, both CAS as well as bombers currently have very little options and not any real diverse gameplay. Would be cool with different target types where different munitions were differently effective at taking them out.

But this is arguably off topic.

Not that surprised players are unaware we can shoot bombs too lol saved like 3 tanks at a cap zone when i destroyed a SC2500 bomb.

orbital B-1B and B-2 with hundreds of SDB could be so peak in higher tier air sim

but for now, F-15E getting its 28 GBU-39 and said GBU-39 getting fixed would suffice. Hopefully we’ll get GBU-53’s since they are much better for moving stuff like in GRB

i dont see any reason why pantsir should get removed, but i agree things like kh38 are hard to not make OP unless you make them uselessly weak.

regardless, TO mode should be added

I guess Gajin could nerf the seeker, as it currently just uses the AGM-65D seeker.

Pantsir and SLM never shoulda been added to Warthunder yet. Gajin should have waiting until every other nation has the proper tools to deal with em (e.g HARMs) and matching SPAA.

Gaijin already has automated balancing tools, so time waste there would be minimal.

Yet another incentive to start adding stuff to fill the gaps. This would be beneficial for GRB as well.

You don’t need CAS to defeat those.
You’d just lose the crutch that served to easily defeat anyone that annoyed you.

Grind will always be long because there’s like dozens of vehicles you need to go through in order to get to top tier. Also, reward % multipliers already exist and can be changed from mode to mode, so your issue is basically a non-issue.

This already exists for players that play only fighters in ARB, as there’s no need to research tanks nor strike aircraft. Not to mention, no one forces you to research AA anyways, so people that want to ease up the grind will already use that advantage.

Also, AI air units could be added to serve as targets for AAs, just like in ARB.

Yet another non-issue that is simply solved by reward multipliers or simple addition of AI units.

Minimal effort is required to make TO and is almost a plug and play mode.
Vehicles, maps and balancing tools are already in the game.

Why do we have different modes in the first place if we obsess over queue times so much ?
GRB is pretty much the biggest mode in the game, so splitting up the players there doesn’t seem to be that big of an issue.

AAs could be used in the current GRB just like currently, where’s the issue ?
You could also add AI planes to the TO mode so people always have something to shoot at.

As for the plane part, strike aircraft must be balanced and playable in Air modes, as that’s where you can spawn them first, without needing to spawn in a tank first and then perform decently. CAS enjoyers having to jump through multiple hoops just to play their vehicles in a somewhat balanced fashion is just a straight up insult which happened solely because Gaijin catered to their petulant children, fighter jocks.

Just offloading the problem of Air modes being a giant cesspool of unbalance and fighter jock territory to Ground modes doesn’t solve anything really.

CAS problem can’t be solved without a complete overhaul of multiple modes, not just GRB, so TO definitely feels like a great option for people that don’t want to wait another decade for something to happen.

Hm, if you have spaa with radar you can warn the players about incoming CAS heading they location but without radar is looking into sky with binocular and watching birds passing by.

It is so boring that You might have a match where You are actually doing good and enemy instead of trying to fight back uses something You can’t do anything about.

Or maybe the players who want to use air in ground mode could still do that in mixed mode.
