CAS problem

An aircraft is a net negative for the team that has it spawned.
I’ve had at least hundreds matches that my teams have lost due to spawning too many aircraft.

I agree with your viewpoint, but this is exactly a point used for balancing. If everyone spawns in air superiority aircraft, the ground would be easily conceded to the opposing side. Additionally, it’s worth noting that some aircraft are equipped with large-caliber cannons, and these aircraft could have their spawn points balanced individually to ensure that early aircraft spawns don’t lead to ground units being attacked.

making CAS easier to get wont make it less prevalent, it will only result in ground players getting pummeled as hard as ever

radar screen doesnt change how the radar works, it still loses lock all the time

Techincly u right but somehow i found that its harder for ppl to break lock when u are in the radar screen maybe its some kind of a bug

Warthunder offers Realistic and Simulator game modes.

I wish Simulator was more playable and not cursed by “If you want to play a Firefly or Tiger E, wait 4 days” kind of lineup system.

As such, I’m stuck with realistic.

As you said, Warthunder has air modes. If I want to fly planes, I’ll go fly them in ASB not GRB.

I don’t want to fly planes in GRB because GRB is awful for fighter combat (tiny 8x8 km bowl of a map where airfield AAA will destroy your plane if you get a little out of the arena at the wrong position; air spawns that have planes phase into reality while you’re dogfighting, 25 minute matches that interrupt lengthy jockeying and duels, rapid ticket bleed that interrupt lengthy jockeying and duels, mouse aim that makes some of my favourite planes feel like boats due to instructor limits and is just less inherent/intrinsic fun to use.)

They could increase the spawn cost for Air to Ground munitions but lower the cost to spawn in with anti air munitions.

They’ve done the former, and with the new SPAA I oppose the latter now.
I’m all-in on arguing bringing more tanks is mathematically superior to bringing CAS let alone fighters.

Interesting, would you care to elaborate?
In my mind the current top tier SPAA cost way less SP compared to a top tier plane with full anti air loadout. Their difference in effectiveness is likely not that big to justify the difference in SP, at least not to that extent. I think a lower cost for Anti air on planes would make spawning in air more dynamic as CAS then wouldn’t feasibly be able to bring full anti ground but would need to be able to defend themselves against other planes to a larger extent. It would likely result in less munitions heading towards ground vehicles over all.

True for capturing points and working towards winning the match, but with the new top tier SPAA many of them wont be able to make it to a capture point anyway and can’t really help on the ground either so they would be just as effective towards that goal as planes would be. Planes also have an easier time pivoting to anti ground to help out the team to a different extent than a SPAA can.

both of these are just sitting around waiting for planes, so the difference isnt that big

What do you mean? the differing cost in spawn points is still quite large.

Imagine you play assetto corsa and you want it improved but some guy says “try need for speed instead”

Or you play ARMA and want it improved in some way but some guy says “try playing fortnite”

refrain from abusing the flag system.

World of Tanks is AB with hitpoints and “cheat” mods allowed. I can defeat 4 tanks with a light tank as only one left in team because my hp is 100% and my op team has around 10% left. WT one shot is damage gear or destroyed tank and you need to spawn new verhicle.

TO doesn’t provide balance. It would only make balance worse.

Just because you’re somehow bad at playing WW2 SPAA doesn’t mean that WW2 CAS is overpowered.

Just don’t play toptier, or stop complaining when your favorite overpowered SPAA isn’t perfect at everything.

I’d rather deal with S-75 (that you can actually defend against) than IRIS-T SLM

Wrong. TO does nothing to the balance in GRB. Different game modes.

Gajin will have no reason to work on CAS balance if there’s TO. You’re just for some reason unable to accept that TO is simply a bad idea.

Wrong. Gaijin will have reason to make cas loadouts actually behave as it should, not artificially nerfed due to tanks.

Wrong. TO is the best idea that allows everybody to enjoy their favorite vehicles to the fullest.
