Yeap, I always agreed that top tier was unbalanced and a mess and always said we needed SAMs like those. But thanks to the new SAMs, mainly the SLM, it keeps CAS busy becoming its main target before dealing with tanks. This gives tanks more playtime to do work on the ground as long as they protect their SAMs.
Easily achievable honestly lol teamwork, some don’t believe it exist, but there is teamwork.

I do agree that cas on low and mid tier is more annoying due to spaa having less range and takes much more skill

When cas become too strong its in late games when its allready clear whos winning and i happend to play alot of games without being cased
I mainly play high tiers so i dont have much to say more to it
There is a diffrence between removing a base feature in the game then balance vehicles
I’ve recently started sniping SPAA with this forum beloved Yak from as far as possible.
I’m currently at about 1500m - one shoted ostwind.
Now i will be trying to achieve 2000m one hit kill.

Ok, nobody cares, then replace Ostwind with Kugelblitz, same thing, it can’t do anything about being sniped
It turns out that it actually doesn’t have to present in the battle field to reduce the population of CAS degenerates, just merely existing alone already enough to discourage players from getting into CAS. Some matches still sucks donkey d but ain’t as bad as before.
It is sufficient for a mere 3-5 minutes to pass for the air to become full of Corsairs, Hellcats or Yaks.
There’s a screenshot I posted earlier of Normandy that was barely into the match and the skies were full of planes already. I’ll try to find it.
I did and the COD comparison is even moire stupid after reading it.
You know what cod killstreaks have that CAS doesn’t: They are a single time use per call in and the longer lasting ones have a timer after which they expire, besides that any player can shoot at the killstreak to kill it or really quickly swap loadout with a anti air missile.
So until we start implementing arcade rules where a CAS plane only has ~60-90 seconds before being yeeted out, you can’t compare CAS to cod killstreaks.
Bro mid tier is as bad as top tier before the addition of stronger SPAAs. Some days tryna play tiger 1 or fv4005 is near impossible, you just serve as target practice for CAS degenerates
Kinda opposite actually, CAS is stronger at lower tiers… Because there is no effective countermeasures. Only gun AAs with slow turret barely 1.0-1.5 km range.
Oh, My kingdom for an additional no cas ground mode where I can play tanks in peace and not worry about being yeeted from existence by a spec in the sky. Knowing that if I ever decide to fly a plane again I always have dcs or il2 to fall back on.

And yea this time mechanic works well at cod and in arcade but it will not work on grb due to the spaa and the high sp
