CAS problem

Because planes are the wussy way out. What’s the point if playing GROUND battles, if you are just going to hide in the AIR all match?

Planes should be 750 base cost, and Airstrike removed so people can no longer exploit drone/scout bug. SPAA should stay the same price and be buffed while we are at it.

It’s not a bug. Calling it a bug would imply that Warthunder’s code isnt working properly.

It’s, at most, an exploit.

If anything, SPAA should be increased and nerfed.

Pantsir and SLM should be 150sp, and have BRs increased to 13.0.

Gepard, and it’s many clones should move to 9.0 and cost the same as a normal light tank

Every early SAM should be moved up without SP cost change.

WW2 SPAA is good as far as SP and BR balancing goes.

Oh no, how dare I say War Thunder’s code is not working properly when the game is so utterly broken, we had such fun bugs as:
Missiles not doing any damage
Radars not working
Xbox players unable to accept invites in War Thunder
Rocks that are more slippery than a glacier
Unable to see planes past a kilometre
Radars unable to track in Sim
Decals and decorations breaking the game
And more

And that came out with Leviathan. Oh, and the C point on Fire Arc is still completely bugged, where you don’t have to be in it to capture it. Which has been in the game since last Summer.

Also, SPAA should be powerful, why the hell should we let the most dominant thing in GROUND battles be a plane. Plus, planes can fight everything, SPAAs can barely defend themselves. How about instead of abusing planes, you actually play GROUND battles as intended: ON THE GROUND! Why the hell should planes get free reign, when they are the single thing that ruins GROUND battles for many players, with advocacy for Tanks Only mode spanning back all the way when Ground Battles was implemented. Especially now when planes ruined the game for the past year with Kh-38s, and all the way back then when the Pe-8 was nuking the map (especially with that bug that let bombs go through buildings, so everyone within the area blew up, even if they were in cover). Oh, and by the way, SPAAs are the only way to really fight planes, unless you waste another month of your life grinding a completely different tech tree just to fly a plane IN GROUND BATTLES!

Im glad youte willing to accept that low tier SAMs are OP, and sure, I’ll take out my Ostwind again.

Yeah same as always… Stating AAs are OP, checking playercard and all AAs K/D 0.5-0.6, or have not played at all… that’s why I’m not “arguing” with them any more, they are just trolling.

CAS needs to be balanced, not removed.

Balancing CAS could involve:

  • Making SP to spawn planes and helis higher
  • Adding limits to the number of planes each team can have up at once (3 planes max for both teams). this can help prevent revenge bombing later in the match. (Exceptions to this rule would be Nukes and scout drones).

CAS can’t be balanced, tanks can’t fight back planes… Only option is hiding.

That changes nothing, some players still can gather enough SP and destroy ground units. Gameplay between CAS and ground is unfair and no SP can change it.

Same here, main problem is about 80% of ground units can’t defend themselves against CAS and no plane limits changes it, yes ground deaths will be less.

I agree that tanks can’t fight planes. But adding a limit will at least make planes less annoying. A limit means that it is way harder to revenge bomb someone.

Having the limit with how much planes can be up at once and making SP higher will mean that the people who want to play planes or Helis HAVE to contribute to the team first. I would suggest making the SPs high enough that you would at least need to have 3-4 kills before spawning in CAS.
