The whole problem is in the imbalance of the Soviet nation. This nation, which somewhere around BR 8.0 begins to strongly dominate other nations in ground battles.

I doubt we would seem much of a player change overall but a TO would “split the vote” so to speak. At least for awhile, IMO.
There are going to be those who go into TO and perhaps realize that they miss the unpredictability of CAS thus going back into Combined Arms, whereas there may be some bleed from CA to To because those who now like CAS want to play in TO so they do not have to worry about CAS for a few rounds.
We see this kind of bleed in the lower tiers when very highly ranked (75-100) drop down to low BR’s to play. Do I like that at my level now? No. Do I complain? Yes, privately. Yet as I get better I learn to fight them better.
Personally, when CAS works for me I like it, but when I am holding a position and even taking a lot of attention from the main thrust, then get bombed to smithereens by a guy whom I killed on the ground (revenge CAS), I get peeved.
Yet…That being said, I would like a choice of gamestyle as opposed to being forced into CAS games every match.

I have to disagree. Multiple times I have been holding a flank or a position that either bleeds oppo from the objective or off of a cap. It have been successful in stopping or blunting the advance, thus allowing my team to exploit a weakened enemy by taking a cap or though oppo attrition that results from having multiple threat vectors to deal with.
Then someone jumps in a plane and bombs me to smithereens, thus relieving that flank pressure or allowing the oppo to take the cap.
In more than one case that bombing of my position has had a direct effect on the outcome of the match.

I have offered a solution yet you have ignored it. That in itself is a strong indication that you do not desire a solution despite the fact that you have called for solutions from those who do not like CAS in this thread. You have not offered any solutions other than different versions of “Suck it up, Buttercup!”
So far your behavior exhibits that of a person who really does not wish a solution that would be beneficial to all, but a solution that offers you the greatest satisfaction even if that solution detracts from the gameplay of many, many others.
Yes, you are able to put forth your opinion and I value that free exchange of ideas. Note that I have not made any comments that directly attack your opinion that others should learn how to deal with CAS, as I think it has merit because as the game is now we have to learn or…leave, which many of us are also unwilling to do. Yes, we have to suck it up!
I am not attacking your stance that we learn to live with it, I am attacking how you state your opinion. It is nothing personal, I just think that when we discuss things like a fundamental chanage in how a game like this is presented by the devs, we should not only offer solutions but be open-minded enough to listen to the other side. Honestly, I do not believe you are doing that. Conversely, perhaps I am guitly of the same thing? I am open to that idea…I am not perfect.
And no, I do not like losing, especially to CAS. If you bomb the crap out of me in the game I will curse you long and loud. I will complain about it to anyone who will listen.
Then I will try to hunt you down and kill you for being able to play the game better than I because you use all the elements of the game available to you and I prefer not to.
Maybe it is personal in the moment but…I will get over it and go sim race if I get too mad.
My experience doesn’t matter, but everyone else’s does somehow, my test results doesn’t matter, my knowledge I’m trying to share on how to use SPAA properly doesn’t matter. Good to know people refuse to learn. If I can do this, anyone can. Just takes time to get that experience and get used to. If one refuse to do so, not the game’s fault.

Yeah sure , it is definitely not a problem because some random guy keep forcing his slop down your throat and suddenly all SPAA are useable.

no kidding, love it when they ask for very specific scenarios too that puts me in a corner with no way out when that specific scenario happens 1 out of 15 games or more. Just like a A-10 10km out whom i fought 4 times by memory, we both fired missiles at each other and were in a draw out of 1089 games total.

Most rounds with heavy CAS use always end up with the entire team going AA/SPAA and never actually playing the game.
I mean, all it takes is not agreeing and the slurs come out. Just be careful not to drop down to their level or do the same.
I mean, ironically got a game out of the many games I played recently where two yak 9 spawned trying to overtake the game and could have succeeded lol Guess what, i stopped their CAS? yes. my Chi-To had no chance against it. well yah, don’t have the right vehicle right now. But this ain’t a tank only type of game is it, its combined battles lol why cry? Got my spaa’s, dealt with a good portion of air threats then hopped back to a tank winning this for the team.
They were smart Yak players too, didn’t stop me from shooting them down in a 80 degree angles. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to record as it was unexpected, but the replays are there if one knows how to get to it. Really enjoyed this match.
