I bought the uss douglas so i could blow up those bombers with my 14km ranged missiles, but it isn’t reasonable to expect every player to play an american premium ship if they don’t want to die to bombs.
I’m just pointing out that SPAA are not effective and provide evidence for it. He got mad at me when I showed that he lacks the knowledge about the game (just check his profile and You will understand) to even back up what he is claiming.
There are spaa that can’t kill any tanks at their BR regardless of range. Does that mean those tanks are OP? What about tanks which outrange everything at their BR, are those also OP?
Sure, except ULQ is the accusing him of throwing a tantrum. He isn’t throwing a tantrum from what I can see.
So your ship can blow up those bombers from 14km? By your own definition that is overpowered and should be removed.
Posting videos of cherry picked clips and comparing vehicle stats with a sample size of one is not evidence.
Oh, look who is being the toxic one now. I’ll refer you to @simbadumba’s quote above.
Fighters in GRB are utimately better than most CAS aircrafts when regarding specs alone,… fighter also search for the only dots that are moving, while the ennemy attacker is unaware of the Fighter diving in it’s tail.
The problem is to think that 6KD is a problem whil IRL the F-4U’s and F6F were over 15:1 KD.
The GRB mode do not have markers making attackers being easy prey for fighters → 6KD is pretty damn low for a Fighter in GRB.
I don’t post clips I post whole battles and my K/D shows that it is not cherry picked.
toxic? I just point out how they are.
I know, I’m better on the ground
Yeah ok,… you’re again on you’re stubborn argue,… fine by me, i won’t get involved by your stupid reasonning which is not taking into account game design.
I just agreed that it is low, so don’t get what Your problem is right now.
Unless you’re claiming to be some form of hive mind, you are a sample size of one. Meaningless.
Your friend:
A perfect reason of why a sample size of one is meaningless.
I’ve seen this same pattern by ULQ so many times. They try to use cherry picked stats to make a point, and then dismiss anyone who doesn’t have a good enough KD ratio themselves. Imagine being elitist about war thunder.
Fine, then provide verifyable data and an argument. That is what we need here!
Fully agree on this point, his memes don’t help the discussion. Data does.
I just didn’t read the whole thread before answering to that post, now that read the entierety of it i make a general statement, and hop off the thread.
So there is no real way to prove that something is balanced or not because no one has access to gaijin data ;).
Sorry but if You are making a statment about ‘a’ vechicle then everyone should check if You on Your own are even backing up that claim.
No one can, because GJN doesn’t make the necessary data available to make a good comparison of vehicle efficiencies. That is the simple and unfortunate truth.
Well done, you finally got there.
Which is literally just attacking someone’s credentials. It’s no better than people pointing at national win-rates on thunderskill as a simplistic measuring stick of bias.
Sorry but again, if someone is saying: " vechicle ‘A’ is effective!" and his stats shows something else then his words don’t have as much meaning as the words coming from a person whoes stats show what he is saying to be true in his case and when he provides evidence for it.
Well, what do you want me to tell you, what ULQ_LOVER says happens more in GRB than what supposedly really happens.
I love that photo because it is a total fantasy, it is not close to the reality of what happens in the game, but it would be nice if it were real.
First of all, let’s not separate the figthers and the CAS, since 90% of the planes that are taken out in GRB are with bombs, and they are only figthers after spending their entire load of bombs, and even with them spent they continue attacking the tanks with the machine guns/cannons.
The second thing is that if we analyze the effectiveness by the size of the arrows, the CAS would have two huge arrows pointing at the tanks and SPAA, the tanks would have an extremely small arrow pointing at the CAS, and the SPAA would have a somewhat larger arrow pointing to the CAS, of course the effectiveness of the SPAA depends on the model, since SPAA like the ZSU-23-4 is quite good for its radar, on the other hand the ZSU-57-2 is extremely difficult to use against aircraft, but the key The question is that the SPAA, being better or worse, will shoot down more or less depending on the quality of the pilot, since from experience there are many airplanes that you kill only because of the incompetence of the pilot, since if you find someone minimally competent it is quite difficult. get it right
If you make a claim and can’t provide any supporting data for it, you have a problem.
If you make a claim and can provide one confirming data point, you have at least shown that your claim is in the realm of the possible.
If you are able to relibly create more of the same data, then it isn’t luck.
If you make a claim and all your available data points don’t support it, then you are dubious at best.
If you call someones data points (sacred) credentials, then you are basically removing the base of the discussion.
If someone doubts my claim, because my stats don’t reflect it, I could still say: “OK, I will play 10 games, and bring back the results I claimed”. But excuse me, I can’t claim stuff where my own data proves me wrong unless I demonstrate it or have someone else do that reliably.
And just because I have a data point doesn’t mean any obscure or fitting theory around it is true.
Best indicator in my experience for an advantage of CAS over SPAA is the predictability that planes almost instantly dive on the anti-air vehicle once the pilots spots one. (talking ww2 stuff, not missiles!) There´s a very high chance you at least kill the vehicle even if it shoots you down, because strafing is a way too precise matter in War Thunder, strafing and doing evasive manouvering works simultaneously (that part makes planes in this game true toy-story). And not to forget about the notorius bomb-release in 10 m above ground before slamming in (tail, wings among other parts lost alfready mid-air).
Good point. Either way, SPAA only has a “deterrent effect” and only as long as the opponent doesn’t care if he lives or dies while he clears you 100% or incapacitates you.
Although I think it’s a waste to throw a plane at an SPAA in kamikaze mode. But many do and hardly anyone will have two to three SPAA in their lineup or throw a coupon.
skill issue
I don’t think we need statistics to debate wether something is op or not. We can debate wether something is op or not based on our own observations. Heres one example:
Right at the start of the match, i spawn as a flarakrad and start scanning the sky, while also trying to reposition away from the spawn so i am not in an obvious location for hostile aircraft. I see a radar ping, i start turning my turret towards the target and stomp on the brakes, it takes 2 seconds for me to stop, and i see something spiralling towards me and i die, without being able to do anything about it.
I was killed by a starstreak missile launched by the british ah mk.1 apache.
They can spawn with these missiles without having to get any score with their ground vehicles, right on the start of the match.
They can kill spaa instantly with no real threat to themselves. They literally can’t be countered even with aircraft as no one is able to spawn their aircraft within 30 seconds of the match. As there is no way to counter this type of attack at the time of the attack, we can conclude that the vehicle is overpowered. Such vehicle can keep killing low armored vehicles and spaa without a threat to itself for a relatively long time.
So, here we can conclude that this vehicle is op without having to look at the statistics. We can simply observe this.
