You’re right, I find it incredible that garbage like this works to generate purchases. We really got what we deserved with this game. We just have to wait and see if another company releases a similar game, one that’s more realistic, better made, and that its community isn’t blind consumers. Because blind consumerism ends up generating laziness in developers, since they see that they don’t need to work on the game to earn good money.
I must also acknowledge that in the War Thunder community there are also exceptional people, like those who are dedicated to making reports, even going so far as to buy books or go to museums to be able to provide more data, and who are often humiliated by the devs. Or those who have an enormous skill in making skins, often times being skins infinitely better than those made by the game’s own devs. These people have absolutely all my respect, for the great work they do, to make this game a little better, a game that seems abandoned by the devs themselves.
he outplayed you - i can one tap tigers in a bt5
What sucks is that as a Veteran i know how much people are being SCREWED by Gaijin.
The KV-1E was a $18 starter premium back in the day. Now gaijin charges like $45usd of GE for it.
(also they removed the Decals that came special with this pack. Which was total bull)
do you think nuclear weapons are a secret weapon too?
See also: One of my pride and joys. my British Ground Beta tests access tank. (no idea why it says 2016, i bought it for the British Ground Beta tests, which were earlier than that)
The last time this thing went back up for sale it was $35USD In GE, with no premium time or anything.
sniping weak spots is utter fantasy for real life sorry, even in the modern era.
Oh, you wanna bring up the realism argument?
Sure! How bout having all your optics destroyed by HE/APHE explosions making it impossible for you to aim your gun or see anything outside your vehicle.
Does that sound fun to you?
Speaking of the modern era, do you think the crew of that T-90 that got molested by two Bradleys had a particularly good time?
Jokes aside, even in real-life you would aim for specific areas when you can ensure that you are able to hit them. Naturally, your goal at higher distances is to hit the target to begin with and aiming for specific areas is simply unsuitable.
However, WarThunder’s gun-fights usually don’t take place at such distances and moreso at very close distances, where (even though it’s extremely unlikely for tank-on-tank engagements to take place at anywhere near such close ranges) aiming for a specific area is reasonable and achievable.
You wouldnt exactly snipe cupolas at a target 2km away in WarThunder either, but would do so at e.g. 50m.
Im like 70% sure IFV crews train “buttoning” fire, when they focus optics, hatches etc. of the target in order to supress them and make them blind.
I need to add it to my list of questions for the next year of NATO days.
sure I don’t mind, aphe is terrible though so it’ll probably just shatter and do nothing, and they didn’t aim for weak spots they shot it everywhere like I said (general center mass). weak spot shooting is utter fantasy.
they could, (it would be impossible given the dispersion on Soviet 30mms though) but if an ifv is in that position something has gone wrong so I doubt it’s widespread or common.
The community voted against the APHE changes. It would have been interesting but no, people didn’t want to try out new things.
It was tested twice; Via hit-analysis and in a event-mode. Both were available in the Dance Of Dragons DEV server.
Stop making up things when you cant even be bothered to check old forum posts.
i mean cope all you want but it’s the not fair and not balanced to vehicles that only have solid shit (which irl was a sound decision but is poorly reflected in warthunder) APHE for a 37mm acts like a battleship caliber with its silly he.
I thought it was okay, it was voted against it in the end. Changing things around would have been interesting, maybe new tactics would’ve been created for APHE shells. For shame, really.
The skill issue in the game may just let you move to the next time, but the real life, sorry you can have only one chance, especially for those STUGIIIs in 19444/1945, skill issue means death
Why not?
ESL moment, I’m so bad at the game I want it to be harder. Honestly I barely understood what you’re saying.
Maybe you can use AI to help you lmao
because what everyone is aware of and debating about you call a “secret”. I guess I should use my binoculars for a another secret lol.
or you could actually learn the language
