It’s not in the top tier bracket, 2 G.91R/4s exist, and they still haven’t shown any signs of fixing things. The most recent change to nords, after like 6 months, has been to add a new collision event for steppes.

Well, if the theorizing in this thread is accurate, the AA20 has company now. The new Rapier missile has a proxy fuse that’s about 4x as big as it should be looking at missiles with similar warheads, meaning it detonates way early and does no damage. It’s actually so bad that it’s a problem even in test drive. So maybe Gaijin finally has an incentive to look into this.

Although the issue with the AA20 is not its fuse radius, hopefully more bugged missiles will lead to some form of action being taken by gaijin.

@Stona_WT @Smin1080p_WT Can you show this to the devs? I know I’ve reached out in the past, but like come on man… this is just silly. In this case, yes it did damage (I’d hope so for a direct hit) but take a second to look at the damage done. ~24kg warhead, 0 engine or internal damage. Something clearly is not right with the way they do damage.
I had shot him up with a handful of .50s, so this is his damage before:

It just doesn’t make sense. A 9B detonating within ~5 meters will reliably destroy the control surfaces, engine, and usually set a fire. AA20s just don’t. They never set fires, and they never kill off engine damage. It’s always surface control damage, when they even decide to do damage in the first place.
Not to mention it barely hurt me also, I took some fuselage damage and that’s about it; also no internal damage.

used aa20 on a g91y recently - really cool that a huge warhead exploding a meter away hurts the plane just as much as a couple of .50 cals do

was looking forward to the Vautour and slinging those around, my family has a history in the French Air Force and some served on the plane and did use the Nords, but now… Yeah i think ill just skip.

Bro I’m losing my gourds. They waste time fixing stuff like the ‘caliber of aim7c from 200 → 203.5mm’ or whatever… but nords not working? Nah screw those guys.
Also, the vautour is still worth it. It’s surprisingly decent. (It’s terrible but does have a few tricks up its sleeves that makes it very potent)
man i rather go for the super mystere or the IVA, i dont think i would like the playstyle

Yeah it doesn’t pull at high speeds, but it’s got thrust and the aversge player is terrible. It shouldn’t work but it’s kinda strange how consistently you can reverse people by dumping your speed and flaps, people sorts panic when the vautour suddenly actually fights. Vautour is one of my most played aircraft at this point. Again, it’s not a good aircraft, but it has potential.
The Mystere B.2 isn’t very good but certainly can work. I personally find the IVA to be one of the worst planes I’ve flown haha. It being 8.7 while the 15bis and sabre are at 8.3 is laughable. I really want to play the etendard. I wish they’d give it AA20s, since if a plane could fire AS20s, it could fire AA20s. The guidance hardware is identical, and obviously the pylons are the same as the missiles are basically the same too.
yeah, i just wish it had its elevator fixed, would be a much better plane
