Idk how you would get a representative sampleset outside of Gaijin themselves doing a poll in game.
Relying on self selecting community polls is for the most part unproductive. It can give an idea that a given subset of the audience feels a certain way.
They dont though. Old hvars would one shot a tiger if you hit it anywhere now they dont
Don’t forget about sampling bias. His viewers are likely to share his views.
The poll definitely shows that there is interest in a TO mode, but if there were, let’s say, 80% in favor in the poll it would be very stupid to assume that this can be translated into “80% of the game’s population”.

You’re just flailing in the air with that, honestly. This is the most comprehensive and valid community poll we have access to. Not to be condescending , but his content is not watched by competitive players. It’s the salt of the earth watching these videos. People can explain and improve when they get killed by a tank. “Oh I should have angled, or I pushed out and exposed this part of my tank” etc, but you can’t fight a damn plane. It’s not hard to understand that people just don’t like being bombed, end of story. Nobody looks at a CAS pilot as a skillful playstyle, they see it as taking advantage of someone who can’t fight back. Even my own videos get comments about it.

No, they can’t be ignored, which is why I said that the poll shows that there is interest in the mode.
However due to the audience likely being biased the results of the poll can’t be applied to the entire audience of the game 1:1.
The least that should happen is proper in game poll

True. We know they have the means for that as they have already done such polls, so they could easily do this to settle this controversy.
Or add the little night-battle-like checkbox for TO, too.

Yeah that could probably be productive for Gaijin to conduct.
When the best data we have is from a self selecting sample set causing biased sample with nonprobability sampling. I dont think that is a go-ahead to treat it like its particularly valid.
Especially when trying to apply it outside of what the poll is specifically asking (which is in this case asking their audience if they think Warthunder needs another mode, like tank only)

Even in Top Tier, a Pantsir, the longest range SAM ingame can only cover less than 2% of the airspace…
