I’ve seen it be a consistent issue with people who want to spawn on the carrier fleet spawn only to die as their aircraft is built for catapult assisted takeoff, and not whatever strange skate ramp the russians use.
Not super deep but if we could have the option between to carriers, one NATO/US and one RU, I think that would solve the issue instantly without a ton of effort needed.
He said it already. US navy planes are built to lounch with a catapult. Russian have massive strong engines. Players cant see what carrier are there, the menu doesnt say.
Just make everyone spawn on the american carrier, USSR aircraft can easily take off from it and the rest of nations can still take off thanks to the catapult.
Or make a fictional carrier so people don’t complain about taking off from the USS blah blah on their J-15T, and you can also make it bigger since specially lower tier carriers are really narrow and barely fit a TBF.
Spoiler
Speaking of carrier spawns, wouldn’t it be cool if the default spawn for a Naval aircraft is the carrier? Would atleast help disperse people and not leave one person alone.
Would be pretty fun to see a mini furball of naval aircraft at lower tiers just 6km away from the usual map center.
Mentioning the J-15T, this piece of crap which is supposed to take off using a catapult on the chinese aircraft carriers is still unable to use catapults ingame, if you get unlucky enough to spawn on a US carrier it’s near impossible to take off with heavier loads
Only proper safe way that works for me is turning around to the back of the carrier and taking off from the very end of it, with flaps and using brakes on full afterburner till the plane starts rolling at which point I let the brakes loose
you mean the ones they gotta launch from tu22m or tu95m vs f16/fa18? yeah I’m thinking they’re gonna eat a Phoenix, if top tier meta is anything to go by, you could probably kill the missile with an aim54 too lol
their newest one is, but they’re experiencing a lot of issues that have yet to be ironed out and it can’t launch aircraft while others are landing due to the deck layout, it’s far from a complete design but that’s to be expected with the first ship of a new class.
The problem is that China might find itself on the American side, and the J-15T might not be able to take off via catapult—even though it is supposed to have that capability, the “T” stands for Tánshè (弹射), which translates to “ejection” or “launch.”
But apparently, Gaijin forgot to activate the T on j15T
