Calling a base does not mean it's yours

,

That’s true, I could probably just alternate between a couple adjacent ones, but at least they’re ‘mine’ if I call them.

Seriously, if a base I’m going for disappears as I’m on the bomb run it’s annoying, but having to replan in the air is just part of operational flying. If I do feel like calling a base (and co-ordinating effort is not a bad idea, after all) I’ll ping both base AND my position; base alone is near useless info to others. Should anyone be better placed (and call it) then the base is theirs (or I’ll continue as back up, because it’s never guaranteed someone will reach the target, but at least I know someone is ahead of me). Naturally, it’s annoying if, having announced my intention to bomb a base, there’s a 60-second silence and then the base disappears as my bombs get released, but TBH, nothing more than I expect in WT.

Simply pinging a base is entitlement; providing a bit of context via text or position report is co-operation and team work (if you’re lucky and anyone listens).

Yep, I agree. No harm in communicating and coordinating efforts and nothing wrong with being annoyed if others are totally ignoring your communications (or worse deliberately going for the bases you called) but there should be a reasonable level of expectation for you to call when you on your approach and not on the AF

My take is that below about 9.0 calling a base works relatively well if its respected and coordinated. Once you get to F 105, F 4s and Su 17/22 it falls apart. Most of those planes can carry enough ordinance for 2-3 bases. If you have 4 F 4s with bombs at least 2 of them are not going to get anything. They eitherhave to wait for a respawn of the base or drop on ground units. The team is also down those planes in the air to air encounters. Many a high br match is over before the bases even respawn. I’m not sure what the solution would be other than a ec like map preferably with multiple airfields.

This is a thread about ASB EC and not ARB (See the tags). So there are multiple AFs to attack instead of bases and usually plenty of bases too.

But yeah, in ARB, they need to increase the respawn rate for bases and add a “heavy” target to bomb. Something that does just take a lot of bombs. Something like large bases or adding damagable AFs to ARB as an alternative target.

Ah my bad. Fair enough.

That’s what I use, I have had no issues with it.

I can complain and get you banned

My rule? “Who fast who get”

Is this one banned yet? He confessed he teamkilled someone on purpose @Schindibee It’s ridiculous they don’t respect game masters to an extend that they freely admit they do this nonsense
