Two years the Pantsir dominated the SPAA aspect of the game. Two whole years. It took the addition of a whole new vehicle mechanic for everyone else get something competitive. Russia shouldn’t get to do that again. In fact they shouldn’t get anything but two sticks and rock this update and be happy.

None of those are better than M247 in the AA duty, which if you didn’t know, is the selling point of SPAAGs lmao.

lmao “impossible to multipath” , while u can literally see how easy it is to MP its missiles , only the 12th missile hit the a10 in that vid , with a 8% chance to hit the target surely this is broken op. even air to air arh missiles have a higher hit rate against targets that are flying super low. atm its extremely easy to MP buk m3 missile unless gaijin decides to change it later.

Only in the top tier. Now IRST dominated the air. Russia don’t have any other real good SPAA other then the Pansir and 2S1

It was the best among the useless ones.
Addition of UFOs in late 2024 has put all AA pretty much in their EOL state.

Pretending 2016 Russian tank can’t handle 1990 model Abrams is pretty funny.

They couldn’t handle a 1980’s Bradley so its not that far of a stretch.

Mb for wanting to grind ground not an entire air tree, to play more air in a mode thats supposed to be a ground based mode

Not deliberately, i am literally grinding air trees as we speak but we are talking like easily 300 hours worth of grinding only to counter one very specific threat in a ground based mode, on top of this we have to also consider the fact that ground RP is slashed compared to air so that already takes much longer to get top tier in ground, we are talking up to about 700 hours or so (average, but not sweaty grinding) to get both air and ground and some people dont have the time for that.

Preach brother.

Why the community hasn’t come together again to protest this discrepancy is beyond me.

That is a reason to complain to gaijin about research being to long, i absolutely agree with that. But aircrafts are integral part of ground battles since the introduction of ground battles so complaining about their existence is something strange to me.

A bit weird coming from a guy that hasn’t touched ground rank 5 and above. Making one mode have double/triple the RP/SL requirements to stay fully competitive is absurd and pretty unfair.

We should be able to research aircraft of a given tier basically 50-100% off if we have same country/tier combo unlocked for ground. Gaijin not doing this pretty much means aircraft aren’t a necessity in Ground.

That’s why they are completely optional vehicle type that can’t interact with objectives ?

I doubt something integral would be reduced to optional by the devs themselves.

Not complaining about their existence inherently, but the power balance was for a long time insane at top tier, thats not even talking about low tiers. Air has for a long time been a very easy way to clobber ground and be completely uncontested by SPAA. Its become such a problem that the meme of GRB just being another version of ARB isn’t even all that wrong. Its not all to uncommon to see people duking it out in dogfights to retain air superiority just like in ARB, while SPAA just sit and watch not being able to land a single hit as long as the fighters dont stall bellow 1000 or so meters. The power imbalance is still there but better at top tier now after IRIS-T, but if people still suggest that the most viable way to fight air beyond about 9.0 is air there is still a potent imbalance.
