Buk-M3: Branching Out

No it’s not, it’s a set of three vehicles, like everything else.

Except only two of them have the ability to operate once the control unit gets destroyed. So simple balanced fix is to making the ability to operate the fieing unit independently of the control unit a second vehicle to unlock.

I am not sure but I think that Japan one can also work separately in game. Now is question if you also want that for Japan because it would apply to all such systems.

Not that impactful mechanic to warrant a new vehicle.

I feel we will see Buk M1 on other trees as theres no real need for them on Russia given they jumped straight to the BUK M3.

Depends how high our max BR will be.

As filler somewhere between Tunguska and Pantsir.

Fair, given we have large differences in performance for 12.0 SPAA we definitely need a BR change

We know Gaijin won’t adjust BRs for a while. Still, the better solution is to just replace it with the M2 or soft lock the range.

Imagine trying to cas on f4e and u see thos insane spaas against ur poor agm65b(not even a full uptier btw)

Downfall of Pansir.

Can we decompress the ground even more for all this very OP SPAA?

Why are you trying to make the grind worse

Bro you’re the kind of person to vote for no stock apfsds and bad economy changes

Not true at all. But keep assuming, its a good look on you surely.

Having the ability to operate independently of the main control unit, especially after it’s been destroyed, is clear advantage over everyone else that can’t. As we know right now, only two nations are guaranteed to have that function. Because hey, getting an extra 40km of range and that functionality to operate independently sure is balanced.

Having to spend a little extra effort to unlock that one-up on everyone else isn’t asking for much. Especially when the base idea of this still lets you operate like everyone else. It’s not going to ruin a single person’s experience with the Buk M3 or the Sky Sabre.

Seeing you act like this proposal is twisting your leg shows balance isnt a thing you clearly care about. Lets just go back to the days where one nation, shocking that its Russia again, dominates everyone else in the SPAA category.

Yes it is.

Soon enough any modification or system that makes something unique would rile up people asking for it to split that vehicle into two separated ones.

This difference is easily handled by BR and not by some, quite honestly, ludicrous and childish propositions that would make the grind even longer.

Balancing by altering RP/SL costs is one of the hottest takes I’ve seen in 2025.

I’ll just keep reminding you M247 is still the king of SPAAGs after more than half a decade.

And we both know its very unlikely Gaijin will rearrange or add BRs right now.

Its not. You are effectively controlling two vehicles with one spawn. Unless the spawn point cost for these specific SPAAs will have a higher than average cost. Still when everyone else loses their controlling vehicles, they’re done. Thats it. They don’t get to keep engaging others.

It’s also very unlikely Gaijin will add new mechanics regarding vehicle unlocking for just a couple of applicable AAs.

Advocating for more BRs seems much more reasonable and in the end, better for the game’s health as it’s basically decompression.

This will show in stats and should be perfectly fine to balance with BR.

“Just multipath bro. Just multipath. It’ll be so easy to defeat because you can just multipath a missile with a 25m proxy range.”

How about we just don’t add something wildly unbalanced. Seems easier.

Then we’ll have to remove most of NATO’s top tanks.
