Short and sweet, the Spall liner in the BTR-82AT is creating spall instead of eating spall. This happens consistently. I was wondering why I kept getting hit one time and dying even to very bad shots. Then I recorded a kill cam and found the spall liner to be doing the opposite of what it should be. Even the armor viewer recreates the extra spalling, I matter the angle, it causes more spall.

Spall liners only prevent the secondary spall cone. The Primary spall cone is unaffected.

I can see in some of them, the fact that it is going through objects in the tank before reaching the crew and causing more spall, but the spall liner doing nothing is just odd…

Not in WT, especially not in the btr80at. Watch the clip again, little to no spall was stopped. Then one piece of spall of course hits my atgm
