Buc S2B Bug report. RWR doing wierd things when targetted by a AF Roland. Its showing as “wr_threa” which I assume is not what is meant to be displayed

https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/raeSRoTfSyEs

This also happens a lot against ground targets

I’ve made a report on the incorrect CE protection of the ROMOR-A ERA

I can give you more pictures from the trials if you want (in colour)
also janes and international defense review that state it blocks 127mm shaped charge

I’m aware of the colored photos from The Dead District blog. I’ve decided not to include them in the report. Actually, I believe the content of this blog comes from the user Object-477 on Weibo: 微博. There are many posts from this user, perhaps even classified information. It’s better not to talk about…

The point is, this was already reported in 2018 and TrickZZter himself acknowledged the issue and one developer (BVV_d) said they would fix it. The problem is, it never happened. My report is more of a reminder…

By the way, do you know where the following image is from? I wanted to add it.

Spoiler

it is from international defense review, but i failed to pin point the exact one

Edit, it is 1988

i am also unable to find info about this table

Finding anything about this is a nightmare. Besides what Object-477 posted, there’s probably nothing else publicly available on the internet. In fact, the only other place I found the same information apart from Object-477 was in the 2018 bug report when the developer BVV_d posted some images that seem to be photocopies of the material. The filename also indicates this, “EPSON”.

I also found this cover, which might be from this document:

Interesting

I did a little digging, and i cant find anything about the Epson. Wonder what that is.

EPSON is the brand of the printer that was used to scan/print/make copies of the material. There’s nothing particularly interesting about it. I just mentioned it because it indicates that the developers either had or still have possession of this material.

This has to be an issue with the AJ.168 (Martel TV). The missile simply doesn’t work outside of the test drive. You can test it in a custom battle: it takes a stupid amount of time to get a lock and track the target, and when you launch the missile, most of the time it just flies over the target and explodes. Not to mention, you’re forced to carry a datalink pod that has no practical purpose in the game because they didn’t implement man-in-loop. It looks unfinished, even the Buccaneer’s RWR shows “wr_threa”, which seems like a placeholder.

I was so excited to play with it and use the Martel. It turned out to be a big disappointment.

Seeker performance depends heavily on map conditions. Clouds/low light/night time all massively reduce seeker range.

I’ve reported the RWR doing that

@Gunjob any news on sraams? Decided to try out the hunter f6 again and they are truly painfull. They still don’t seem to have any all aspect capabilities, even against after burning jets? It’s like the red tops where it’s only really on cold maps within 1km of the target.

Also, does anyone have any information on the concrete filled rounds during ww2? I keep hearing how the rounds had more pen than the American rounds as they replaced the he with concrete. Would be a nice buff, although little, that may help with penning tanks such as the 1942 model t34 and panthers. Still waiting on the apds rounds for the 57mm but I doubt we’ll be getting them any time soon.

Been testing the Martel missiles on the Bucc S2b. So far very disappointing. They have a large chance of dodging the target by pitching upwards at the last second, and forget lofting - they actually drop like a stone and even after firing from high elevation they are prone to losing targets to terrain because they drop to the deck on the way to target.

Verdict: A missile that should have the most potential for long range sniping and keeping the crew out of harms way is worse than a AGM65a Maverick :/

Will update if I discover a better way to use them or if they start working for me.

Cheers,
Sebdspy
