Yep, when the choice is between Jaguar Gr1A and the Buc S2B for CAS. The Jaguar is faster, with better Tpod and with more CMs. The only reason to take the Buc was the ability to fire a Martel beyond the range of any SPAA
Did the Tornado F3 & SHAR FA2 get Aim-120A or C?
Tornado F.3 got the AIM-120B and AIM-120C-5. Sea Harrier FA.2 got the AIM-120B.
Cool beans, is there much difference between the A & B?
No real difference, at least in terms of what matters in game.

Hi all
I’m just looking through some stuff to do with the Fox.
Most sources I can find, including Janes (which I dont have direct access to) state the RARDEN cannon (On the Fox and Warrior) has a firerate of 90 RPM.
Ingame the firerate is 80 RPM.
I don’t have access to any of the Janes books, is there anywhere I can get screenshots from the books without buying them (legally ofc)?

Well, if i were to theoretically say, the 80 could be theoretically the lowest fire rate that is acceptable and 90 could be theoretically the standard one. Just Theoretically.

There is ONLY man-in-the-loop mode. What is the point of adding it at all? Why even force the use of a datapod if its not being used to guide the missile? Surely it is so unrealistic already you may as well do away with it and give the thing 4 Martels?
F**k it, make up some duel rails while you are at it and give it 8. Just as realistic.

Thats a damn shame to see.
I noticed the Bucc has a radar set of some kind on the right when using it in test rooms etc. Perhaps a suggestion to have the ground radar pick up tanks like the Russian ATGM TD does and lock to fire the martel might be more useful to give it a “perception” to reality?
Still not perfect but if gaijin wont let us man in the loop, it is a work around right? Right now you need to see and lock the target, IRL you didnt need to do that, I assume the bucc radar was for finding targets so, just working that way?
strange how every unique russian vehicle gets all its features from launch.
all you guys need to do is find a russian vehicle with the same features and hask for it.

If they keep it like that, why have datalink pod? Can’t gaijin just gives us 4x Martels when they act like worse AGM-65?

At this point, they should just remove the 9Ls and drop the BR down significantly. The remaining weapon systems are not 10.3 worthy when you compare to the Jaguar Gr1A at the same BR.
The only reason to use the Buc S2B was that long range stand off capability

I was prepared to use the Martels the inteded way with 3x kills per sortie in ground RB. But sadly they thought it is too OP to make a mutant missile that didn’t exist IRL.
Yep, jaguar Gr1A will remain my chosen CAS for that BR and I’ll try the Buc S2B out in SB, but 30 CMs hardly seem worth the full BR higher
