I’m playing 9.7 there are two different brackets 8.7-9.7 and then there is 10.0-11.0
Buc definetly needs its Phimat pod
IDK where I got the idea from, but was the hawk 200 series able to get the AS-37 missile too or no? And if so, any idea if gaijin was going to go for it?
also, just me or does the martel on the bucc zoom look… not as zoomie as it should?
Ive had a lot of fun with the Jag GR1 of late in ARB, probably should take it out for a spin in NE at some point.
Missing ALARM, but dont think its missing AS.37s. But Seagles do look a lot like them because they use the same housing I think? So that might be why you think they do?
Yeah, they totally removed its zoom last major because its basically now pure MITL, which is reasonably historically accurate
Hm, fair then, that might be what I was thinking I saw at some point.
4-6 walleye or equivalent will do the trick. some will be shot down but they do a lot of damage
If I’m not mistaken, the MiG-27 only tested the Kh-31, and didn’t use it directly. But in the game, the MiG-27 received the Kh-31. The real question is: where are the AS.37s on the Harriers?
Double standards are good, double standards are bad?
P.S. Didn’t the Indian Jaguar carry the AS.37?
There are open bug reports on this (2), they’re probably looking at their effectiveness first on other airframes, as the harriers are now 9.3 in ground RB, though i see no reason why the Sea Harrier shouldn’t get them
No it didn’t
Its based on the Jaguar S, which is the variant of the British jaguars, which never received AS-37 modifications
Perhaps thinking of Sea Eagle on India’s Jaguar IM. They look similar to AS.37 but have a turbojet engine
India apparently intends to put it’s domestic Rudram ARM on Jaguar, but that would be for the modern-day DARIN III Jaguar that we don’t yet have in War Thunder.
I think the Shamsher is a mix between DARIN 2 and 3, so it might be to the devs to decide if it can get it or not
All DARIN III have radar in the nose and a glass cockpit, so the ingame Jaguar IS hase no DARIN III features really.
Jaguar IS in game is a mix between DARIN I and DARIN II. It’s largely just a late DARIN I (including the Ferranti COMED 2045 used on HAL-built Jaguars) with an early-2000s RWR upgrade to India’s domestic Tarang system.
It has DARIN II’s targeting pod but not the proper upgraded DARIN II cockpit, or nose it should have to go with those. The flying DARIN II development aircraft that could carry Litening pod, were all twin-seaters until 2006 or so.
This Indian magazine goes in to some depth about the DARIN upgrades and the timeline of different stages on the development aircraft. (pg.66)

The particular version of Jaguar IS ingame shouldn’t have a targeting pod, and should retain the RH gun.
It’s based on photos from ~2003-2004, so during the V1.0/V1.1 to v2.0 stage of DARIN II development where twin seaters were the only ones envisaged to carry a TGP, and were having both gun bays converted to avionics bays and having new cockpit systems installed, while single-seater was developing the new LRMTS and SPJ installation in the nose. TGP (LDP - Laser Designator Pod) integration for single-seaters hadn’t been developed yet.

Source: Bharat Electronics presentation on DARIN II.
Refers to v1.0 and v1.1 software, so likely predates finalisation of v2.0 and v3.0
Some Jaguars are still flying in the Tarang DARIN I configuration in 2026, and still retain both guns.
The twin seaters being newly built as DARIN II with upgraded cockpits (new HUD etc.) and TGP provision were flying late September 2004, and this NAVWASS and Thales TMV-362 (LRMTS replacement) upgrade as part of v2.0 had IOC on the single seater test airframe in 2005 before the first flight on the twin seater with DARIN II v3.0 in 2006.
v3.0 was the software where they were validating the targeting pod in use on the twin seater, and DARIN II reached FOC just a few months later on twin seaters. The the converted single seater DARIN IIs reaching FOC in April 2007, with new-built DARIN II single seaters being introduced before that time.
Martels just straight up disappear in-game. I suspect it happens when they lose lock, but instead of self-detonating or just keep flying wherever it was supposed to hit, they just vanish. Has anybody noticed this?
Yes thats it, a mix between 1 and 2, not 2 and 3. Thanks for the correction!
Just curious if anyone can give advice on the AS-37 with the Bucc 2B, I have tried a few different launch profiles with them but all I ever manage is “hit” on enemy SAM systems even if they are static and not moving (as is tradition for SAM players).
I just feel very stressed like I am doing something wrong with them ha.
Example 2 missile strikes on same player, all I got was his guns and didnt even track the dude. Just felt like I was an annoyance over anything and pointless to the team. He wasnt even moving for the first missile and barely at a crawl for missile 2.
Are the AS37 the TV ones or are they the new ARMs? I can’t remember the names
ARMs.
I haven’t used them yet
Are they hitting the SPAAs directly and just not causing damage, or are they missing entirely?
Weird, i havent had any problems with then myself. What ranges are you firing from?
