The zoom on the AJAX is painful.
Who cares how good the thermals are if everything at any reasonable distance is still just a blob because of how terrible the optics are.

I feel like they gave Spike‑NLOS to the AW159 just to fill Britain’s gap for a 12.7‑BR helicopter. But then why would I not just play the AH Mk.1? If it didn’t get Spike‑NLOS, it could’ve sat at 11.7 BR. Gaijin probably thinks putting it at 11.7 would hurt sales of some premium vehicle. Classic case of a unit built purely to fill a spot.It feels like the AW159 is just like Germany’s 12.7 Tiger helicopter. No IRCM, no defensive machine gun, probably comparable manoeuvrability, and it gets roughly the same long‑range missiles. In my opinion, they shouldn’t have given it Spike‑NLOS at all. Man‑in‑the‑loop missiles barely matter at top‑tier BR. You almost never have spare time to operate them, since you’re constantly dodging SPAA.
I think its just them bodging an MITL option, as the JAGM-MRs dont have MITL iirc.
Couldnt Gaijin just give the Apaches Spikes if they really wanted a MITL option?

I expect there will be changes during the test server. Back in previous test servers, the Tornado GR1 even had man‑in‑the‑loop functionality for its PGM.
Maybe because without Spikes on the 64E there is only 1 LDIRCM heli with MITL …
Was to be expected considering the tech tree the AW159 is going to. Its still such a weird addition, its literally just a british flavoured slightly worse or better (depending on the Spike amount) Tiger UHT with very little reason to ever play in GRB since there is an AH-64E just .3 above it
Yeah, they have just rendered it a collector item, but not something you would ever actually use I think, which is a shame. Unless we get Helis usable in NE and then we have a reason to run Sea Venoms
What? what in the 76mm laser rocket is making it 11.7? This is basically weaker lynx and more of an upgraded kiowa so 10.3ish
The Lynxs with 8x Hellfire is 10.7
20x LMMs, which are kinematically similar ish, but maybe weaker in terms of what they can kill reliably, would at least make it 11.0, probably 11.3. Even if we get that BR, you would only be able to use it at 11.7 anyway.
You have some warped idea of helicopter BRs. at 11.0 you have access to helicopters with full kit of IRCM, Air to Air, 8x hellfires, computer gun. At 11.3 you have radar and 16x hellfires.
I could concede it being around as effective as lynx (even tho i still disagree).
As someone who loves playing kiowa warrior with 2x hellfire and 7 apkws. And also someone who used firesnakes 90 on jeff (which is at most what the warhead will be) You are not killing significantly more than APKWS can
