Doesn’t the L26 not exist as it goes against the naming scheme? If anything, it should be called L26A1 if the performance is identical

L23 is the one that actually don’t exist

L26 in game is L26A1

its just misnamed

“L23” in game is fake (I think its based off of XL23E1 or something similar in game)

“L23A1” is the actual real round

I already use it at 9.7-107 so it wouldn’t change much for me.

Also the AJAX is somewhat fun. Its basically a slightly better Strf9040

Beyond the obvious problems of things like the missing spall liners. My ONLY complaint about it is the god damn fixed 6x zoom.

What could of been:

https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/8ml6DeUatT1S

After that, wouldnt say no to getting the addon ERA as an optional mod, sure, slows it down even more, but just ultra lean into the survivability of it as its not exactly fast to begin with

The fact you can still to this day kill the commander with .50 cal through the mantlet is deeply upsetting.

(that and the incorrectly modelled rear indicator and random disc sticking out of the commander’s sight which will forever haunt me)

Yeah, needs a good deal of polish, but its not overall that bad, certainly not as bad as I was expecting for Gaijin to make it

make a suggestion or beg the devs to implement 1x gunner sights then, alteast then we can have 1x-6x

Also sadly that would extend to Chally 3 too

It is tempting… or they can just start accepting FoV with reasonable guidelines for how to do it

Good way to get it down to 11.3 I guess

that’s not possible, if i place my hand around my eyes i go from 1x zoom say 190 degree FOV, but if i place my hands in front of my eyes, its 1x zoom with say 20 degree FOV

Its just physically not possible, FOV and zoom are not directly linked

Unless they set some preset data points, like dictating a fixed focal length for min and max figures and apply that to the FoV.

Anything that adds bulk is a MUST for me, I NEED MORE ARMOUR!.

Ive tanked more hits in the Ajax than I feel I should have (dont tell gaijin, it will be made out of paper mache by next week)

With ERA, armour fixes and spall liners, it could be a genuinely quite survivable light tank

I am enjoying the ajax finally, but want i really want for the uk is a wheeled 120mm of a fast tracked 120mm like the centauro’s and booker.

Having to bring the MTTD to dop tier isnt great, would love an MTTD with all its theoretical upgrades it could have like its aps but i guess that would be in the realm of the ho ri.

Id take that or an class 3(p) with the oliphant mk2b turret.

It is surprisingly survivable, only problem i have is that i keep getting my commander taken out by coax and pintle 20mm fire whicch confuses me as i cant seem to find out how they are doing it?

Its 20mm apcr thats doing it so it just leaves me confused and afraid.

Yeah, ive had similar.

definetly some hole somewhere

There’s an armour hole across pretty much the entirety of the turret front where they’ve decided not to model the applique so you can’t even resist a .50 cal at close range, I’m assuming that’s the cause atleast.

Curious, is the struggle to get above 50kmh a thing even when spaded with the scimi 2? As I have seen CCs struggle to get above it too, and is that realistic with it?

AFAIK a full spartan was able to hit over 60-70kmh pretty handedly as a similar weight vehicle, so it seems odd a Scimi 2 cant get over 50 to me.

The Harrier GR7 performance isn’t even better than the Harrier T10 . Its RWR, engine, and even ordnance loadout are all roughly comparable. It’s only at 12.0 purely because of the AIM-9M. I would’ve thought it inappropriate for the Tornado GR4 to sit at 12.3, but now that ALARMs are available, things are different. And why are the thermal imaging pods on British Harriers not high-definition?
