British Weapon Systems - Technical data and discussion

Yeah, but there are… A LOT of Phantoms. They would have made a model not for just one, but for a dozen and a half. I mean literally. We have 15 Phantoms.

Yeah, its one of those classic cases of gaijin acting without thinking and then rather than admitting they made a mistake, they just deflect and hide behind some lame excuse

As they say, “First of all, it’s beautiful.”

Aside from you wouldn’t actually have to model them for more than 1. Because “if it’s technically compatible”.

Would not be the first time this excuse was used, except this time it would be helpful.

Also it’s not like the slight difference in drag between the McDonnell (Early)[1960 though ~1974] and Sargent Fletcher (Late)[Cut-in with beginning of F-4J/N production, circa ~'64] 370 Gallon wing tanks and their mounting brackets would attract that much attention. Or the rare alternate source Royal Jet tank

Early F4H tank Rev A
F4H 370-gallon Tank Later
See the odd looking external tank on the left(foreground) wing station.

It’s like how the USN F-4’s and their derived variants were implemented initially reusing the USAF variant of inboard wing rack, instead of the LAU-17 they should have had until it was later corrected.

Also the Sargent Fletcher tanks are shared with a numerous others US airframes so many would benefit from their inclusion. It may also already be modeled on others like the F-100D in game but I’d have to check which variant of the tank they have acess to.

Speaking of “one aircraft - one type of drop tank”

you forgot most of the F-16s in the game

and Tornado F.3(Late)

and MiG-29SMT (or atleast it used to have 2 types of tanks)

it dosent, it should tho,
like the 29G

MiG-29SMT used to have a larger belly tank, and a smaller belly tank (Standard MiG-29 tank)

did they remove the standard MiG-29 tank from it?

We’d need someone with it to check as not everything is always in presets

that sounds like the initial copy paste that gaijin always does on the dev server

bc i dont remember ever seeing the standard Mig-29 tank on the SMT

I have a question. It is known that the PGM2000 and PGM500 now have man-in-the-loop functionality, but the Tornado GR.1 and Tornado GR.4 do not support man-in-the-loop due to airframe limitations, so the PGM2000 and PGM500 on these two aircraft do not have man-in-the-loop capability. So here’s the question: will the increased spawn point cost for man-in-the-loop missiles this time affect these two Tornado variants?

Probably lol, unless the increase is done via keyword then maybe not. who knows.

Stormer is broken again missiles barely follow the cursor…terrible

you guys see this too right?

It actually didn’t get more costly. I flew the Tornado GR.1 today with four PGM500 loaded, and the spawn point cost stayed exactly the same as before the update. The spawn point increase only applies to ordnance that has man-in-the-loop functionality, so these two Tornado variants without that feature aren’t affected at all.
