Its finally an ARM;

how does it perform?

Very well, from some quick testing. Warhead works very well and the motor is very smokeless;
90km shot in progress, launch from 7km alt at mach 0.92.

We’re on terminal;
About ~850kph before diving to a terminal of around ~1000kph

Gotta watch for the minimum range, the faster and higher you are the further away the target needs to be.
bruh

The ALARM missile seems to have significant bugs. Sometimes it flies over the target and then dives, causing it to miss. Additionally, it appears difficult to use effectively within 5 km… it forces a high-arcing trajectory, leading to missed targets.
Each shot needs consideration, high and fast, target needs to be very far away. And you can just be too close, ALARM isn’t a close in weapon system. Its a stand off range missile. 5km is far too close for ALARM.
However, the bug where missing the target and then diving results in a failure to hit is particularly prominent when attacking the Gepard air defense vehicle in the firing range, causing me to rarely successfully hit the Gepard.
Potentially then - spawn in GRB and fire your ARMs straight away?

It really do be like that sometimes.
If only CCRP had a lofting profile for missiles.
i test ALARM with my friend , my result is it’s useless…
It doesn’t even match the intensity of the AGM-88A. It’s too slow and extremely easy to intercept. Worst of all, it has difficulty locking onto targets (it appears on the RWR, but the missile can’t find them). Moreover, it is highly unstable, often losing lock inexplicably, or diving after passing over air defense systems but being unable to pull back up.
Should the ALARM have a similar Glide slide indicator Seeker-pointing angle mechanism to the Shrike / ST-ARM?
ALARM …My friend and I tested it, and it performed terribly… nowhere near as good as HARM.
Its entire flight speed is too slow, making it extremely easy to intercept.
Worst of all, target locking is difficult (it shows up on the RWR, but the missile can’t find the target).
It’s also highly unstable, often losing lock for no apparent reason, or diving after flying over air defense systems only to fail to pull out;
oh, and by the way, this thing is almost unusable within 5 km…
Gaijin: Its too OP, must be 12.0+ only. KH-31 at any BR is fine though
