you really notice the ready rack difference between the Strf9040c and the ajax, u can freely fire alot more in the ajax then in the strf… tho saying that the CV9040 gun feels like it does… a smidge more post pen damage

Currently if your LWS gets destroyed, which happens a lot, you lose your IR tracking abilities
Obviously that isnt right
Nice report, currently the AJAX’s armour is pretty awful, making the main structure steel would help a lot

sadly the only thing I can think of that would make it any more reliable would be the PSO package as it would bring the armour up to survive 30-40mm rounds
Oxy said on the dev stream that we will probably see more AJAX variants in the future. I imagine:
- AJAX PSO
- BLACKJAX
- AJAX IFV
Even without the PSO upgrade I think the AJAX should still be able to resist 30mm APFSDS from the front

The fact it currently doesn’t even meet STANAG 4 standard on most of the hull makes me really hope it’s mostly placeholder still.

do we have definitive stuff on the ajax stanag ratings?
It would be worth looking into ASCOD 2 as that is what the Ajax is based off and Ajax is considerably heavier than ASCOD 2

Not that I can find, it’s all sites claiming it. As for spall liners there’s a 15 year old video of the early prototypes that shows a full spall liner layout but someone tried that and it’s been ignored. I’m starting to bet on this thing having atrocious armour.
