Finally getting some mods in on the ajax and it’s… okay I suppose. BMPT just beats it in every regard and there’s nothing I can do against one, but with a good flank it can kill most things with relative ease.
Anyone actually surprised?

They’re not that armored and i think they ammo rack it
Gaijin in their infinite wisdom somehow made the ammo on the techtree BMPT impossible to damage, so while they fixed the 555mm protection it’s also near impossible to kill anyways.
it’d be kinda cool if this mod also included the acoustic sensors, maybe they’d give a bearing to helis within x km and would pair nicely with the IRST (not entirely sure how it works irl)

It would appear the Ajax’s current zoom in-game is intentional, kinda dissapointing.

god the 6x is nearly unusable, not even a variable zoom for the commander man…

iirc gaijin only uses the Day sight magnification for tanks, and disregards any 1x or near zoom modes,
the Night sight might have different zoom
if it means it goes back with the Chally 2 cohort i’d be happy
Unity = 1x magnification
Gaijin don’t include unity for optics on ground vehicles so it will be fixed at 6x.
Except when they do, in which case I suppose it doesn’t count?
Gaijin claiming they don’t implement 1x sights while having 1x sights in game is endlessly funny.

So why can’t the commander’s sight get 1x then since it’s the exact same optic? I don’t see the reasoning still.
Plus a bunch of lower tier vehicles with 1x optics (I promise you this ring is not magnified lol) just have it set to 1.9. Feels like they’re just avoiding it.
