DIRCM on the AH Mk2 (AH-64E)
ajax’s commander sight is clear rn
Spoiler

They stole the sight cover.

Or maybe it just fell of while driving, can be either. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Also lost some weight

Were not getting survivabilty without the PSO are we…
Gonna take years to fix this being hidden. Like the splash guard on the front of the base Challenger 2 that disappeared one day, never to return
Is it really correct that there is only a 20mm aluminum alloy layer on the front of the vehicle?
I suspect not you’d have to look into the chassis of the ascod 2 as it’s what Ajax is based on that. Ajax iirc is the heaviest of the ascod based IFV in its base form so it should have better protection than ascod as it is.
There are many adaptations of the ascod 2 chassis tanks like the sabrah developed by elbit for the Philippines which is considerably lighter than Ajax by about 5-8tonnes depending on configuration and provides stanag level 4 protection
Looking at GDELS website states the integrated protection of ascod 2 reaches the highest levels of stanag protection.
How well does the armour perform against 14.5mm rounds in game
im pretty sure the armor still isnt finished in game, as there is more armor at the sides than at the front, + engine deck being aluminium but the driver ufp being rolled homogeneous armor + the turret addon comp blocks still being kinda horrible n not all there yet
example being the back still having more armor than the front

even the roof has more armor XD

How thick is the bulkhead behind the engine compartment?
cant preview right now as interior armor isnt rigged to show yet but before there was any armor on the engine deck the bulkhead had like 25.4mm of RHA

Big AJAX buffs / changes
- Weight reduced to 38 tonnes
- Armour model updated
- Extra rounds added (191 total)
- Smoke grenades doubled
The armour is better but still seems unfinished, at least there arent huge holes anymore
Is it too late not to add this vehicle?

I hope gaijin doesn’t intend for me to actually believe this hatch is half an inch.
4mm structural steel
