British Weapon Systems - Technical data and discussion

I was going largely by the BR of the current Mossies between 3.0-3.7 and figuring theyd probably be lower

Bit worse engines though?

I’ll make a quick comparison from what I know about the variants

Mosquito B.MK.6 (ingame)

Engine type: Merlin 25
Engine power: ~1600 hp WEP
Top speed: ~618 kph
Empty weight: 7.06t
Armament: 4 x 20mm + 4 x 7.7mg + 1000lb of bombs in internal bombay + underwing rockets

Mosquito B.MK.16 (bomber variant likely coming)

Engine type: Merlin 72
Engine power: ~1710 hp WEP
Top speed: ~660-670 kph
Empty Weight: 6.5t (weights number vary)
Armament: No guns + 4000lb of bombs in internal bombay (or one large 4000lb bomb) + underwing rockets (?)

The naval Mosquitos are a bit heavier than the MK.6, while the NF Mosquito’s are a bit lighter. However, the NF Mosquitos don’t have upgraded engines.

So the MK.16 should be faster and more agile than any other Mosquito we have ingame.

I wouldnt put it past them to just add the Mk4 though. But we’ll have to wait and see and hope

I feel like we may get a premium and tech tree variant, but we will see. A premium Mosquito could sell very well.

Yeah, a reply to the fact that the NF2 being lighter but with a slightly worse engine

Yeah Id buy it. If it was low, it would be fairly cheap but be a perfect little grinder

Shots fired - now watch the rest of the Non-British forumites watch in bemused wonderment as full on County-Wars begins.

Not Middle Wallop? The name that strikes fear into the hearts of the Crown’s Enemies?

AAC museum mentioned!!!

They don’t have a copy of the Cody flier at Middle Wallop

Technically not British but South African but does anyone know if this mirage actually existed/prototypes, or was just a concept that never left the drawing board?
Would basically be a kfir c10 but for South Africa

There was an Atlas Cheetah D modified to take the SMR-95 engine, but that was the extent of the modifications made. Sadly to my knowledge no radar able to guide the RVV-AE was put onto the jet nor was it modified to carry the R-73 like the super mirage F1 was. However it can still carry a variety of South African missiles like the V3B, V3S, V3C, U-Darter along with an assortment of bombs (guided and unguided tho its unknown to me if the D or D2 was equipped with a targeting pod), and rockets.

Not to mention the D/D2 has a good rwr, HMS, and a healthy amount of Countmeasures :D

The Cheetah D2 is more akin to a Kfir C.12 than that of a C.10, for a C.10 equivalent, you should go see the Altas Cheetah C suggestion! Its more akin the C.10 than the D or D2. Not to mention anecdotal sources suggestion it could carry 5 missiles instead of 4 :D

According to gszabi’s datamines, Mosquito NF.II now has its Air Intercept radar and has been reclassified as a fighter rather than a strike aircraft.

Ed:- after playing the reopened dev server I see the Sea Mosquito now has the option to carrier spawn (landing it isn’t easy, at least for me 😅), and James Prendergast’s 414 Sqn RCAF Spitfire is rightly flagged as Canadian on the statcard

IRST broken

Probably more appropriate for the Dev forum section mate.

The question is, when will they give it the minimum range of Starstreak missiles? Right now, you can’t shoot down planes at less than 2 km, when the minimum range would be 300 meters.
