The Wildcat heli as flown with Spikes, and the preproduction South Korean ones flew under British Colours for integration. Can also equip Sea Venom ASHW which has an IIR seeker as mentioned by Flame
Ah yeah, Sea Venom on Wildcat only then basically. I’m unaware of any other options, Aussies are going to the AH-64E next, but again nothing on weapons as far as I know. Canada doesn’t operate any AHs of any sort iirc.
The kiwis operate the penguin on either their seasprites, I have been waiting for them to add it ever since the nords got the missile on the F-5A, 55km range with IR+IOG and IRCCM sounds pretty good to me…
A new unmanned turret fitted with the same 40mm CTA gun as the standard AJAX.
Troop carrying capacity of 8 dismounts achieved by an extended hull.
A Javelin/Spike ATGM launcher integrated.
Iron Fist active protection system as seen on the Challenger 2 Black Night.
Lots of other smaller changes.
Secondly, the AJAX “BLACKJAX”
The BLACKJAX is an upgraded AJAX, featuring the Iron Fist APS, improved gun elevation up to 85 degrees (to counter drones), a redesigned gun mounting/mantlet and improved rubber tracks.
Thirdly, something small, a new Challenger 3 photo.
From what I’ve heard the Army are very happy with the Boxer, as a troop transport.
However, they also recognise the fact our variants all lack a proper auto cannon armed turret and cannot provide adequate fire support.
The current solution is to use our AJAX to support them, however, the Army want a dedicated IFV which can both carry troops and provide fire support which fills this gap.
There’s been talk of an auto cannon armed ARES IFV variant for a while, and it seems like this is the result
