it doesn’t specify, but sope sources apparently confirm it’s around 40 for fighter size targets

So 40km it is

So does it get LDIRCM?

We haven’t purchased it for AH Mk.2

Welp IRIS-T death

Wonder why they went with arh seekerhead for camm instead of keeping the ir head and just adding datalink

Multipath is less of an issue IRL. And you’re more likely to have IR clutter on the ground against low flying targets.

im dreading nose diving CAMMs because the target is flying at 60m.

Better all weather performance presumably.

Miysis. It’s been looked at for Shadow and Atlas, but probably will go on some other aircraft.

But yes, we’ve used AAQ-24. The original version of AAQ-24 “NEMESIS” with the drum-shaped emitter was fitted on Merlin (Mk.3), Lynx (Mk.9), Hercules, Globemaster, Voyager, and probably a few other platforms.
So mostly for larger transport aircraft. A benefit of CIRCM, Miysis and especially DAIRCM, is that they’re small and can be fitted on smaller, lighter platforms.

Don’t know the roundel off the top of my head, but it has been flown on someone’s AH-64.

I think you may be right, but that is an AAQ-24(V) though.

Just to confirm - definitely Dutch. We get a flight of them occasionally tooling over the house at very low level (usually with a supporting Wokka along in tow).

Presumably coming across the channel for exercises. Sets the dog off if nothing else…

For anyone who missed the English dev stream, a few things were mentioned:

As well as the vehicles we know, Britain will also get:

This patch:

  • Mosquito Mk.2
  • Mosquito TR.33

Next Patch:

  • Another “iconic” mosquito, almost certainly the Mosquito B Mk.XVI (the bomber variant)

NF Mk2 (hopefully it gets the radar)

TR.33 better known as sea Mossie first twin engine aircraft to land and take off from a carrier

Those both look great, the TR.33 should be pretty good in naval

do we know of the CAMM launchers can work independently of the Radar/control vehicle? Buk launchers can and i saw someone mention it for the CAMM in the rumour thread

Afaik it can IRL
