British Weapon Systems - Technical data and discussion

Key wording in that sentence is they’ve actually tested it… Makes a change from the flat out denial we’ve come to expect. Will it be fixed? Who knows.

It was a nice surprise, im glad they’ve put in some effort.

However that is only after I (and the original poster) left a comment correcting their incorrect assumption that it just “drove wierdly” because it has a high power to weight ratio. This obviously isnt true as the XM800T has a higher hp/ton and drives WAY better, it also drives strangly even without applying throttle lol.

Key word there is “might” though. Not truly changed minds, just a “okay it might be odd, but it might be fine”.

Its better but… yeah.

Yeah, hence why I said “may” get fixed as they might just say its fine, we can hope they do

Originally they just said it wasnt a bug at all so its an improvement

Yeah, so what, 2 years 3 months 5 days for a fix? xD

not even the BMD-4M has that issue and its HP/T is higher than even the Fox (~36 HP/T for BMD-4M Scimitar is 25 HP/T, which even some MBTs beat)

it’s idiotic that they even thought it was the HP/T, and then of course the other mentioned vehicles like the XM800, Mars, etc

even the M56 Scorpion (oh and Striker) of similar HP and Tonnage class doesn’t have this issue, and it too is front engined, unlike anything else of the same HP and Tonnage class, but no odd controlling there

They need to do an actual review of things rather than speculation with issues like this, if anyone has ever seen a video of the Scimitar IRL they’d know instantly that in game it’s bugged to buggery

i just hope it does get fixed

only two years? thats optimistic!

Yeah their response was pretty ridiculous, they clearly hadn’t tested the vehicle when they replied.

Everyone I’ve seen play it says it drives awfully, even Spookston said so in his video.

Any news on this?

Idk tbh.

this is the lowest elevation of which you can fire frontally, looks a bit lower than Devil06 showed as what it would roughly be

Anyone got any documents on the RO2001 SPH?
It doesn’t have a suggestion yet, but I can’t find any primary sources.

This is quite an interesting report. The 1200 horsepower for the Challenger 1/2 appears to be BSS, which takes into account power loss from auxillary systems and the drivetrain.

The actual installed engine power is 1296 horsepower. This equals 1314 metric horsepower which is what is used ingame. As far as I’m aware gaijin uses installed engine power for almost all tanks ingame, would it not make sense for the Challengers to be the same?

*1296

thanks lol

I’ve created another report.
