Tracked Rapier missile not guiding over frontal arc
https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/d00woCG6Uc6G

This one is really annoying. I hope they prioritize it. It makes it impossible to guide the missiles from the front and some side angles too

Yea, it is very annoying, expecially considering both the turret and the antenne could depress just fine.

Another important Rapier bug

What about the tracking that doesn’t work? Currently all SACLOS missiles, including the Rapier have been nerfed to unrealized standards since the summer 2023 update.

and they denied it.

@Gunjob could you please take a look at it? There is no way that they ordered TICM II for a Rapier 2000 in 1984. The only Rapier system that used TICM II at that timeframe was the TOTE for the Tracked Rapier, the first version of a Rapier to have a TVD, introduced to it in the 1985.

new bug report for the cheiftain

https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/LNfvJcBVBEGX

if L15A5 is modelled correctly with its DU cap it should have ~80mm more pen, which would allow it to go through T-72s and T-64s within 1000m

I’ll have a look in abit.

Thanks.

Sims show it shouldn’t be going through a T-72 Ural at 600m. Bearing in mind T-72 overperforms in game…

No need to be a party pooper, just go comment +1 on the report, the mk.5 needs that shell

So?

iirc the ural had the same hull array as the t64a so youre already able to pen it at 600m in game with the l15a3

No wont be fixed too british

We’re still in the “in a bit” holding pattern. (I got distracted.)

Then i dont think that it is not going to be much different than the l15a3 in game, at least in angle penetration.

Might as well just remove the Rapier at this point, still not fixed

only thing i’ll bring up is @lxtav mentioned a DU cap, the simulation there specifies a TA core and cap.

This is however the first time Ive heard about a DU cap

I believe that was a mistake by me, as going back over all sources mention TA, I do specifically remember hearing about the A5 having something that improved its performance over the A3, im still trying to find out what though as its quite hard to find info on any of the Chieftains shells online.

fair enough
