Has there been any recent news on Striker II deployment. Ive looked a few times but could only find the sources for it going into testing end of last year

There is some pictures of the “gun” being in different positions on a field so the turret part was probably functional.
Even if the cannon was just a simple tube for demonstration purposes its probably real enough to get added as an event vehicle if anything, Since we got a few vehicles that have ahistorical armaments already.
Not specifically British but apparently Airbus and the Luftwaffe are looking to make a “mothership” version of the A400M to deploy drone swarms or “up to twelve cruise missiles the size of a Taurus”.

I wonder if the UK would also jump in on a project like that to bolster their capabilities in a relatively cheap way using it to deploy Storm Shadow, would be similar to the US’s Rapid Dragon system for their MC-130’s and C-17’s.

Without wishing to detract from this esteemed thread, I’d like to offer an area for aircraft ordnance in particular. My focus at the moment is on WW2 to Postwar bombs in British service, with the intent to create some bomb Suggestions and perhaps a revision of UK bombs 1939-1960 in future.
Any help from those more knowledgeable on the subject would be welcome.

Yeah, Ive had this a few times. I think whats happening is they are still really unstable, the target then falls out of the seekers PoV and then it self destructs.
it was reported in the dev server of the overhaul and to no ones surprise, never fixed

Which is very funny because not only is there an easy fix, it is implemented on a host of other munitions.

Kinda sad that pre “fix” SRAAM had less of that crap. may have only gone 1km but it wouldnt give up so easily

Weirdly I’ve found that high AoA missiles are less likely to do this if you fire them pointing behind the target instead of in front of them (anecdotally).
I think there are also some cases where if a target would outspeed the missile for even a small portion of flight, the guidance code freaks out and calculates that the required lead is infinite/0 and just goes whack. I think that’s what happened here, the missile calculated that its required lead at it’s current speed was ridiculously high and threw itself so hard it lost the target.
Yeah, SRAAM either fails spectacularly or pulls AoA so extreme that it has pseudo reverse thrust and then chases after the target that’s gone behind the carrier aircraft
Unfortunately the former is more likely to happen
