I’m not sure what you mean harsh? 5x5 is standard for beamriders in game

Given the Martlets are mounted about 5 degrees above horizontal, whereas other vehicles are not, yeah, it’s a little harsh.

Not even mentioning the footage of the missile behaving in a way that is more consistent with a wider firing window.

The fact the firing window isn’t even 5x5 big is harsh if you read the post

It literally is 5x5 in game, common for all beamriders?

Seems smaller than that, i would expect it to be bigger, what hurts more is at somepoint they are going to change starstreak to the same launch window size

its not smaller its 5x5 exactly the same as vikhr

Comparing to the Vikhrs though is a bit misleading, given that the Vikhrs Pylons pitch to attitude of the heli, so it actually has a far far larger firing window.

The Wildcat has to drop its nose to be able to fire onto any target, it cannot fire from the hover under most conditions (at least that is what ive found in test flight testing)

Even just a keybind that centres the sight to the firing window would be a huge help, I’m sure that can’t be too difficult to implement

Overall impression of the Wildcat is that it has potential, but at 12.3 it is outclassed and should really be 11.7 - 12.0

The Spike NLOS are just too slow and while the Martlets are useful, their damage/pen isn’t really enough to warrant such a high BR.

We will have to see how it performs with the Sea Venoms. It’s not unusable, it’s somewhat fun to play as its weaponry is so unique, but its not 12.3 material. I will say that Martlets have been surprisingly effective against other helis and aircraft from what ive seen.

Definetly confirms it for me then that the Wildcat could be fun in NE (especially where a lot more targets would be vulnerable to LMMs) but not really worth it in GRB

Level flight hovering and can’t fire it at targets unless I look away or tilt nose down. It’s ridiculous why does gaijin think it would be operated like that

After unlocking wildcat…my god this thing is atrocious. Spike NLOS are too slow to do anything, 90% of the time they intercepted, for the rest target is already dead. I had high hopes for the martlets, and here its even worse. Mi-28 tanked 4 martlets, 2 to the engine, 2 to the cockpit and i killed only the gunner. Whats even funnier even a god damn aluette took 2 martlets to die. Playing it is like racking your ass through the broken glass. It should loose spikes and get down to like 10.7/11.3.

Is it supposed to have IRCM (unit above the tail rotor) or am I buggin?

That’s a strobe light

Minimum range for martlet missile is virtually impossible in game outside of very specific scenarios where your so low to the ground it has a chance to react to player input otherwise it loses view of laser and goes somewhere else

I hate the Wessex. Hate hate HATE. Let me tell you hate. Slow and unmanuverable same as the missiles. No RWR. No flares. Should be 8.7.

Did you miss first spawn with starstreaks?

Very excited to see what opportunities this will present from the RAF, Army Air Corps, and Fleet Air Arms branches. Hoping they go do fully into this and not just do the absolute bare minimum.

i might be acting dumb here but what does that mean? like what does it do

From what BVV_d said it sounds like we will see cargo transport missions being added in NE so players can go and repair friendly SPAA and SAM sites or repair friendly airfields using some helicopters already in-game with the possibility of seeing dedicated cargo helicopters (i.e. CH-47’s, CH-53’s, AW101 Merlin etc) or even transport aircraft (i.e. A400M Atlas, C-130 Hercules, C-17A etc) added in the future for use in NE.
