Why does this make it correct? They are completely different missiles, launch platforms, and fire control systems - am I missing something?
On review of the Starstreak, the devs found that it was actually overexaggerated. There is an error causing its angle to be twice that of the Vikhr. It will be corrected to the right size as well.

Because we’ve seen footage of them being fired at angles that would suggest the current limits are well off for Martlets
There is currently no information to suggest it should be larger. Starstreak on Apache currently has a larger than correct window, which will be corrected too.
The launch window is tied to the orientation of the launchers. On the Wildcat, they are angled upwards, whereas the Vikhr pylons are angled slightly below the helicopter’s longitudinal axis and also allow the launchers to be aimed 10 degrees downward. Creating a larger launch window.
For a beam-riding missile to understand how far it has deviated from the line of sight, it must enter a relatively narrow laser beam. This requires the sight to be aimed at the point where the missile will appear after launch.
We welcome any additional information to suggest something is incorrect, but thus far, no information reviewed by the developers shows that it is.
Its not. The missile has all its own configurations and values. Its simply the launch window, which is the same for all beam riders of this type. Starstreak will also be corrected once its issue is fixed.

But the fire control system can point the beam in a different direction than target, I’d have to find the exact video, but you can see the missile fire at an upward angle out of the pod, then arc under control into the sight view.
This could even be achieved by basic INS control if you don’t believe that the guidance beam and camera can point in different directions. (See every SACLOS/ACLOS made since the 80s)
As I said above, we welcome any detailed information or evidence the launch window specifically of LMM is incorrect, the above was just the developers answers on all the currently provided information.

So the gunner finds the target, then aims up away from the target and launches the missile then looks back down to re-acquire the target. What kind of crazy mad scientist would design that.

marlet isn’t beam riding though, its laser guided like apkws, so its noting like vikhrs. this issue is if your in sighted mode you can’t launch it if your in hover since hover mode doesn’t allow you to easily change your angle of facing precise enough to reliably hit the tiny launch box. i hope we get other versions of marlet with ir seeker too

I believe there are beam riding and laser guided versions of the martlet, ingame we seem to have the beam riding one
LMM is beam riding. There is an optional SAL seeker for customers offered, but thus far it hasn’t been produced.
