@da12thmonkey What do you know about either the British Avimo/Ferranti AF530 sight or the APX 334 Athos? I was reading that they were tested on the Lynx HAS.2 and you mentioned them so I wanted to know if you know anything applicable to WT. I.e Zoom, Thermals/NVD’s or target tracking.
AF530 was the sight Lynx would have gotten for HawkSwing. 2.5-10x magnification. As far as I know it was simply an optical sight. Certainly no thermals or target tracking or anything that advanced.
The AF532 version used as the Gazelle Observation Aid (GOA) had LRF but unsure if AF530 did.

Range would show in the LED display, in place of HI/LOW magnification when lased
I don’t think it had night vision, since Gazelles were usually equipped with other observation devices for night reconnaissance in NI.
APX334 Athos is the sight on the SA.341F Gazelle in the French tree, so I guess that’s the best point of reference for War Thunder. It was indeed the sight used on French Navy HAS.2(FN)s in the early days when they were still using AS.12
