Britain Naval Tree - What’s left to be added for all BRs

Im part of the way through spading it and it has such potential, but yeah, you are screwed if you face a light cruiser that knows what they are doing. In the datamine for the next update, there is what looks like a fix for the flooding issue, but we’ll have to see what it actually does. But I see months and months of reports and battles to get Rodney where she should be

do you guys think i should unlock her and repulse to get the event stars done as i was waiting but seeing what state she the TT is in i am starting to want to give up on it a bit

I hope it gets fixed at least. I had to go through over 3k pages of digitized microfilm to find the relevant passage for my reload report, just in the annual reports where I ended up finding it. Probably more in the 4-5k range if you count files that didn’t amount to anything. Unfortunately it sometimes feels like an uphill battle to get anything changed unless it’s something the devs intended to do anyway, or there’s some absolutely massive uproar.

Yeah, there are major bug reports I want to see fixed that are well over a year old, probably closer to 2.

Its a real shame that low priority vehicles/nations never get fixed

Hood is still at least very competitive in the current meta, and queue times during the event make for pretty good grinding, often longer games too. I’d say if you’re interested it’s worth grinding now, you don’t have to actually take the ship out until they do bug fixes.

well rodney and nelson are my favorate ships IRL and i bought a talisman on hood a while ago

It was a bit demoralizing to see how fast the RDF/LT incident got the reload fixed, when it seems the standard battleship reload fix would only take more work due to the number of vehicles involved being larger. Feels like if you don’t have a major content creator whipping people up they’re content to never fix a lot of issues.

Yeah. Its simple fixes like that which annoy me the most.

Then I’d say go for it. Most of the issues seem to stem from a time crunch, with this being probably the most rushed update I’ve ever seen in game. They seem pretty interested in fixing the issues at least, hopefully the armor and model fixes can come in a small patch and we don’t have to wait until the March update.

well you only realy have 2 navel CC’s being dollar and napalmratte and while dollar is a large CC the navel player base is not large enough to make them listen

It’s an unfortunate situation. Seeing that a Colorado class wasn’t ready for the update is also a bit demoralizing, since it means they’ll have saved probably the worst of the early 16” ships for last, coming a calendar year after the much better Mutsu if it releases in March. Especially with the model having the bad 5”/25s when the worth of US battleships is currently mostly determined by the secondary battery.

There’s a misconception of relatively low hit rate irl was a result of large dispersion. In fact it was rather a result of difficulties in fire control in conjunction with greater range of engagement. It could be somewhat counterintuitive but tight dispersion actually makes it even harder to aim because if your fire control solution is off for just the slightest than all your shots will either fall short or far altogether. In fact this happens during the battle of Jutland where the spread of shells were so tight that ships have to deliberately fire the gun with an artificial spread to increase the chance of hit.

At point blank range (where most battles in WT takes place) the hit rate irl could be really high, for example during the final finish of Bismarck the hit rate of British ships was almost 100%. Rodney’s 6" secondary guns could even aim and reliably hit Bismarck’s 15cm turrets. In the game you could have a full salvo from Hood completely miss a broadside target at 3km if you’re unlucky.

Having tighter dispersions is generally good for gameplay imo because it awards good aiming. If you aim well, you will be awarded with a very high chance of hit, if you aim badly you just going to miss all your shots. Right now it’s rather like a gatcha game where you just roll and wait for luck rather than carefully handle your aim solution.

These are all good points. I’d still like repairs to be slower though. :P

The issue though, is if repair times were much longer, you would never be able to repair anything. You could permanently keep someone in a state of repair. What would be needed for longer repairs is a way to control what got repaired and when

Likely helped that the RDF is a premium tank…

Well yes, (major) repairs should not be something done in fights, they should be something done to “reset” between fights. Not unlike how Air RB only has repairs back at the airfield.

I would like to see selection of what’s repaired though, yeah.

well when do you get a break in fighting outside of EC games which can also be rare somtimes

Twenty-six hundred matches in one singular vehicle, wow.

That’s almost half the total matches I’ve played across all vehicles in six and a half years, in one vehicle. O.o

well i selected him and he had 100% crew and i decided to check his player card and i was shocked
