They actually buffed repair time in this update, not a fan of it :(
I just wonder how you only manage to run a 4.8 k/d in a Scharnhorst with an ace crew across that many games. Also good lord that’s probably a thousand hours just on that one ship
So almost a week passed, and still no improvements on Rodney on live server…
There was datamined changes for Rodney for 2.43.0.25 middle of last week. But that update hasnt dropped yet. Really really hoping its early this week and not delayed till the new year

If it prevents Rodney from being easily sunk by a light cruiser, then it will change a lot. Anything on top of that is a huge bonus

Underwhelming firepower is another issue for me. Either it’s just a bad dispersion, or those shell don’t do damage. I feel like they act like HE sometimes, or don’t fuse where they should. I see the hit but no damage . I don’t know if there’s something wrong with AP, or what is it.
On top of that slow reload…
Yeah, i’ve been rather underwhelmed by the damage. In part its the low hit rate due to dispersal + low fire rate. But I have been wondering if there is a fusing issue. Like the rounds are over-penning or detonating on impact or something. Round after round i’ll put into an ammo rack and nothing, not even a scratch, its wierd

Now Rodney 16in have about the same amount of TNT, but heavier and with more penetration, so they should get through the armor easier, and do more damage, but it doesn’t feel lile it.
Yeah, god knows how we test it and see if we are just crazy or if there is a real issue though. But definetly something not quite right

I don’t have much free time right now(Christmas period), but there’s this naval polygon to test ships. I can’t find it on wt live (the search function is weird on that website), but I have it on my wt account.
It’s an old test map, without latest ships. But there’s stuff like Scharnhorst, and Nevada.

well i guess even after 923 days hood stays the best ship the british have in game and until we get a late war QE or a KGV it will stay that way.

Rodney has a chance at being a great ship. It feels fun, just woefully underpowered at the moment. I guess we’ll have to wait and see what she is like in the new year.
But… Yeah, I dont think the RN will rule the waves until we get an actual WW2 built ship like KGV or a heavily modernised one like Warspite or Nelson
