i would love for some decompression mabye up to 8.0/.3 to try give some room to the later cruisers and early BB’s
The paper addition of HE-VT ammunition shouldn’t be a problem for the Admiral class Battlecruiser as afterall a few soviet warships that were sunk early war have have the ZS-46R HE-VT shell type (or those ships come in line with HMS Hood & receive older ZS-46 HE-DF shells).
AFAIK they already saids ammunition on capital ships and cruisers & destroyers were different stories.
i still find them not giving hms renown he-vt as a bit of a fuck you from the snail
Well they always do it for Royal Navy. While they saids every capital ship would have crew comparment on their armor belt, we still have Orion and Barham who has crew compartment on upper belt and casemates. And they were the ship that were added Gaijin states movement of crew compartment.
Dang, I must have missed when they said this but I guess that makes some sense even if it’s a crock of shit, heh for a game that used to strive for historical accuracy of equipment the balancing of shells is a poxy concept.
Although confusing that another example is the minelayer HMS Abdiel M39 in its 1941 configuration has HE-VT ammunition even when it was lost in 1943 or hell the K class destroyer HMS Kelvin F37 in its 1939 configuration having 4.7" HE-VT ammunition.
I guess it’s once again down to Brutain tax for the mighty Hood or just the usual picking & choosing style the devs use often.
Niche slightly offtopic sidenote on the HMS Hood, while I’m nowhere close to getting it, I know a elderly lady who’s best friends farther went down with that Battlecruiser…
i have been thinking about making a post about ships having there diffrent retrofits as modifications that for some vessels would mabye have a slight affect on br such as when AA gets added to ships as. i was also thinking about how many diffrent versions of destroyers and cruisers there are and some of the diffrent versions of the class of ship as mods but that may result is to many modifications for some ships.
I support such ideas for refits as afterall we see this a lot in tanks & iirc a few aircraft (albeit most are soviet designs or spitfires with their X year 20 mm modification), These mods would be a boon to many ships with as built, first refit/remake, late war/life refit.
Although this would require more man power remodelling ships with different emplacements & probably more time consuming than making bomber cockpits lol.
Just picture a Restigouche class DDE in a gulf war refit, say goodbye to that poxy WWII era 3"/50 Mk. 22 cannon & say hello to a Phalanx CIWS along with a few other items.
well i tried to make a post about this and for somereason it got held for review no clue why though so i am going to try create it later today
