Britain Naval Tree - What’s left to be added for all BRs

well they have been passed to the dev’s anyway on the old fourm so i doubt there would be a thing for it anyway

well i think what is needed is for them to say how much needs to happen in its construction procces to get added to the game @Smin1080p_WT

Kronstadht was like 13% complete. So not a lot Id guess

well it would be nice to know how layed down as that would dictate alot of ships chance of getting added as some german ships mid war got “laided down” but got canceled before true construction happend

Yeah, would be good to know. But honestly… Im guessing it might be a case by case basis

It would also mean we could head off the fantasy USSR ships (I’m looking at you Sovetsky Soyuz) because there was no realistic prospect of them ever being completed.

I’m not sure how much clearer “was laid down” can be.

this is a question around Lion and Temeraire as they were both laid down in 1939 but the war cause there construction to be halted and was and was planned to be continued with design revissions but i belive it came with a displacement increase and increases in other dimensions and more AA and improved fireate to the 16inch guns were planned but the construction of this improved one was not started after they realised you would need 12 inch decks to protect agaist bombs

The first 2 should be added in the 1942 configuration with improved AA as that’s when they were scrapped.

Then we could just about argue for one more in a 1944-45 configuration as this is when the prototype BL 16" MK.IV guns were built to arm that batch of improved Lion class. This came with longer projectiles, supercharges and a 20 second autoloader.

I doubt Gaijin would give us that ship though.

I mean, I hope that rule is retained, despite it meaning you could technically add some ships of questionable levels of sanity and realism being added, as it is a fairly clear litmus test of what is and isn’t acceptable, as you say. However, if the time comes where the Kii comes to the game, I suspect I will turn right around (if I’m still playing) and there and then demand my Admiral Fisher fever dream boat, HMS However-the-f*ck-you-say-it (Incomparable, for those of you who don’t get the reference)

20 inch guns and 35 knots sounds utterly insane.
insert David Bowie grin
It is. >:)

I think even if the rule would get lifted, Kii class doesnt seem like much of a worthy addition. It would be basically tosa class with minor changes. Number 13 class could fit better as a stop gap between tosa/nagato and yamato but that is far future. After this update japan will have already full 7.3 lineup without this BR actually existing so I guess we wont be seeing next ship anytime soon (but I do hope for 6.3 pre refit kongo)

Doesn’t matter if it is. It is, after all, the principle that counts. I’m taking your word as gospel here in the sense that I know nothing about the Kii, and so I assume it’s not that titanic of an upgrade over the previous ships to warrant being added.

Agreed. I’m expecting the two remaining ships to show up in the form of Kirishima as the early refit in the tech tree, and Hiei with her “Yamato superstructure prototype” setup (1940) as a GE premium.

well i would say event is most likely as they still have there premium ship unlike some nations which i find weird

well atm i would say britian is in the most need for a navel top tier premium ever since they removed iron duke

Some Aussie additions for consideration. Not all are necessary for the game but worthy of a mention.

These would more likely be in the Coastal branch, like the Type 12 frigates they’re based on are.

Yeah was split on that but coastal would fit nice.

Yeah. Gaijin logic of ‘I hate Great Britain so I’ll give impossible draft with maximum displacement’ to minimize it’s survivability done again.

And still it’s magazine sits quite low. British technology!
But want draft fixed according to maximum displacement, as same for Battle class, HMS Hood and HMS Renown.
