Britain Naval Tree - What’s left to be added for all BRs

I agree, along with Gneisenau for the Germans with the same turrets.

with amagi being in the files in a near complete state and no other ships even on par in there i realy hope that it dose not get added alone as the second 16inch ship this time with 10 guns

all they gotta do is gimp its accuracy, historical or not, so it couldn’t put two shells in the same postcode. simple as that

i mean i have a maxed out hood just missing an ace and i still get shots land either side of ships dispite how acurate the 15inch shells are ment to be

hence my point. if Hood shells are missing by going either side of a ship, then Amagi guns need to be firing, aiming at Westminster and landing at Marble Arch

Would be very irritating, but she has just bad armour, my issue isn’t with Amagi herself (in fact I think her and Tosa class would have been perfect introductions to the 16" realm), again it would be with a nation getting another ship it doesn’t need, when some nations do not have top tiers or a fair number of top tiers.

Did Amagi even have a catapult launcher for aircraft either, as I haven’t seen it mentioned in the design.

well she is a battle cruiser in design so you should have slightly less armor but sharnhorst is a BC and it has stupid armor

France sat there with precisely 0 7.0 BBs

they do seem to be in a shit spot with out a reason of why they are in said shit spot as they do have ships that can fit in but they have not to many left but that is no reason not to add as a fair few nations have a simmilar number of ships that were actualy built left to add

Yeah but the ability of Battlecruisers to run and choose engagements does not really play a factor in WT.

As for Scharnhorst, the Germans called her a Battleship, the UK called her a Battlecruiser because of the size of her guns and her ability to run.

Historically German Battlecruisers had heavier armour to be part of the main ‘battle line’ and to survive hits, the tradeoff was smaller guns (as displacement could not really increase).

Whereas British Battlecruisers had lighter armour, but Battleship sized guns so they could focus more on dealing out heavy damage and exploiting range and speed.

well a problem the french BB’s will have when there 7.0 ships come is that all there fire power is in 2 turrets and i am not sure how armored they are

well they could get this which has 15 inche guns in 3 turrets

but it never got laid down

They have good armour and also the sides of the turrets have a thick bulkhead inbetween so you can only take out half of each turret per shell. This was actually proved at Mers-El-Khabeer when I believe a US warship hit a French ship and only knocked out 2 of the guns in its 4 gun turret.

The issue on the Richelieu’s is a bad reload rate if they don’t get late WW2 or post-war refits. They also will require some skill to use. If you go broadside you die. So you must go broadside, but if you do not angle right you can penetrate straight into the magazines through the frontal bulkhead which iirc is not as thick as the belt.

I believe France should eventually receive this. I do not mind paper vehicles for France and Italy if they are truly feasible and grounded in reality, they lack options in the ‘modern’ WW2 age.

Another issue is that the armor will disappear from hit, imagine gaijin set this in Ground battles, the armor protection is not so important, crew members separate and the ammunition position is much more important, one of the reasons why Britain DD so bad is that the ammunition is above the water…

I think part of the reason that the shell dispersion is super bad sometimes is because they have to balance it around the maps and engagement ranges being really small

Well they have gone and done it time for war I think. Like Japan is genuinely going to run out of ships to add at the rate they are going and will get Yamato by the mid point of next year while there will have been no additions for other nations

This has got to be some kind of sick joke.

Why must they make the ‘Big 3’ +Japan (probably because Yamato is famous), completely insane in terms of additions.

The UK top tier lineup is now more event than tech tree.

Italy, France and the UK could easily get at least 2 more ships at top tier each, of varying classes.

But no, Japan needs 8 top tiers including the only 16" ships in the game, Germany needs the most overpowered ship in the game plus two very capable Battleships, Russia needs another very capable 1930’s Battlecruiser another Battlecruiser, plus a ship from Italy and an utterly ridiculously tanky battleship.

(Can’t really loop the US in here as though as they have a reasonable amount of top tiers plus they aren’t exactly good ships.)
