well that looks like it cant see above 10 degrees as they have it defaulted to the ship to ship radar but you have 3 different radars but it only lets you use the low angle one

I was thinking that it seemed very low as well. But that would make sense if it’s only the naval radar being used 🤣
We could in fact get the Hood 1942 refit added at some point. It was all planned for a full modernisation like the QEs, but likely would have got 5.25"s instead of 4.5"s.
I just want a late refit Nelson and a late refit of KGV#
Also, I think they’ve said they wont do the same ship in different refits. We can get HMS Nelson as a late refit of the Nelson-Class but we wouldnt get HMS Rodney in a late refit. With hood the only one of her class that was finished and thus only that could get a WW2 refit, that is already quite a major issue on that front. Also Im not sure what their stance is on planned refits for ships sunk before the refit could happen.
So thats 2 major issues with getting a 1942 refit for Hood or the Admiral-Class

Is it correct that the Vanguard has no torpedo protection ingame?
well it has no stat card protection but it does resist torps from a custom i did with a friend on the dev server but it may have changed when it came to live but you can see the area that the torpedo defense covers. it would also be cool if they actually modeled the differences in each protection system as 250KG is the max which some cruisers have yet battle ships also have the same max torpedo protection stat in game. also i would like to see the torp defense on the xray
I was hit by a torp yesterday and flooded + sank in about a minute from full health, it didnt seem like it had any
well i would not put it past them to not think it has one due to it not being obvious as it is not a bulge like most other ships
Does anyone know if every ship has the same chance for fires? Particularly those in the superstructure. Whenever I play Barham aside from the frankly useless APC shell I particularly get loads of superstructure fires. In my last game I got 6 from secondary guns and was losing crew the whole time, comparably when I played Marlborough I got 2.
I’m asking because I’m already heavily biased against Barham in that i just don’t think she’s particularly good, so perhaps I’m viewing this behind whatever the opposite of rose tinted lenses is.
The amount of ammo racks will be game breaking

Well that was well timed, right as I order a model kit of her, she gets passed to the devs!
So i am very close to spading Vanguard and im rather happy. Doesnt die easily, seems to be able to deal with anything reliably (i’ve yet to have a proper 1 v 1 with some of the new BBs, but those that I have, I’ve dealt with fairly readily, but at 8.0, you get downtiers just as much as uptiers, at least for now)
Certainly got a few issues though.
- FCS definetly needs to be buffed in some way. Just feels bad to have the same as a WW1 ship.
- Radar is basically unusable. The angle is super low and it cant be used to guide secondary guns
- I do wish the secondary guns were more accurate in auto vs naval targets or would actually hit the same plcae as the primary when used together
Wouldnt say no to getting her 25 second reload as well.
Does have a few little downsides, like the raised bow does limit forward fire at closer ranges, and the C turret is fiddly to angle right, but those are managable issues.
All-in-All, a solid addition for the British TT at this time. But definetly bring on HMS King George V sooner rather than later though

Yeah, its annoying they wont model that for Realistic. God knows what they changed, but its rendered Barham, Warspite and Rodneys secondaries basically worthless
Yeah, those would be good too, but I just like the look of the KGVs
My bet would be Prince of Wales after Hood. So that line is all ships that were sunk.
But what will the British Rank 6 premium be? My bet would be either premium late war King George V class or will we get a refit Queen Elizabeth / Valiant. To continue the trend of Premium ships getting the better AA than the tech tree equivalents.
3 Main contenders for the Premium are probably:
HMS Nelson (late refit Rodney)
HMS Prince of Wales
HMS Royal Oak (Revenge-Class)
Another QE Class is possible, but given we already have one on the TT and another as an event, it would be annoying to get a third.
Vanguard should have been located after Hood.
Should have Lion class after Rodney
KGV after Warspite
I’d make the minor tweak that I’d have KGV after Waspite and Duke of York (iirc, whichever one had like 100 40mm bofors/the best AA) after Rodney. Then I’d have Lion after Warspite and Temeraire after Duke of York.
I’d I could only pick one of the Lions I want Temeraire because that name is badass.
