So first Warspite impressions (played 1 game)
She can take quite the punishment, I would say not as much as Hood but more than Rodney which is a good balance.
The turrets though get knocked out relatively often which I would attribute to the larger weakspot of the gunbreach.
She feels a bit sluggish but that’s the stock experience for you
Overall I would say it’s a solid ship which I would rank second or third place in the tech tree depending if you like rodney more. (Hood still is at number 1)

It’s not because of the gunpod weakness, for some reason any penetration of Warspite’s barbette will instantly destroy the turret, while for some ships like Hood it will only turn the turret yellow. The weak protection of the barbette further exacerbates this weakness.

I mean, even the only thing Wargaming does better than Gaijin is WoWs. WoT sucks. WoP sucks. AND they are 3 SEPARATE games. Imagine that. I think Gaijin can learn from Wargaming and improve their tree so that there are something more than Battleships and Battlecruisers in toptier.

They introduced a ‘unified premium account, gold and free-exp’ before when they tried to make WOWP.
Maybe it was an awful attempt to make them looks like three-connected games.
But they also were greedy bastards, they ended up reverting shares of gold/free-xp when launching WOWS and introducing a ‘super-premium account’ which isn’t unified but gives some extra features.
Ehhh… if we consider F-16AJ and Yak-141 case, I am unsure about Gaijin can do that properly even if they take lessons from WG.

Besides, 12’’ 50 gun made in late 1920s to test new gun-making mechanism which later used in 14’'/45 of KGV exist, which is also used in various ‘light battleship’ design in late 1920s to late 1930s.
There is claim for Admiral class battlecruiser arming with 18’'/40 which used in monitors and Furious but afaik they didn’t go serious discussion. These Admiral class battlecruisers maybe can also candidate of never finished capital ship as they have little difference in design, mostly on way of racking ammos.

Gave Warspite a run in EC Naval this evening…Honestly feels a bit disapointing/lacking
Currently it seems AP/SAP’s post pen damage seriously affected by fuze time, which British lacks the most. I found my expert Nevada better at dealing than my Ace Rodney
I agree. Besides something like KGV. It would be good to see some lower BR additions now.

There’s tons of destroyer classes left to be added, just off the top of my head there no suggestions for, I-class, E & F-class, G-Class (1944), and C-class.
But I just want more sloops, minesweeper, and frigate representation, there’s tons of unique small ships for the RN trees that could be added. Enough for another coastal line I reckon.
The change to ballistics is the key here. Prior to the patch people were mostly concerned with the decrease in penetration. However that decrease in penetration was completely a result of decreased velocity which also means a shorter distance traveled after fusing, generally meaning worse post fusing travel before detonation and a higher susceptibility to detonating on fuel tanks and turtlebacks/spall armor.
