They’d rather spend the resources revising smoke appearance for ground vehicles or something equally meaningless for most people than fix a massive fundamental issue with one of the primary game modes. I don’t buy the “technical limitations” excuse.
She is being divided into 8 sections, where forward 3 and rear 2 are not fully protected by armour, leaving only 3 sections effectively inside the citadel. I think the most urgent fix is to adjust the position of the hull subdivision so that there aren’t more than 4 sections not fully protected by armour, and to increase the hull durability to battleship standards.
Definitely, would be nice to have for example 9 sections with 7 behind the main belt, a good way to replicate reserve buyouncy behind the belt perhaps?

Given she has a very long bow, I would doubt devs will consider leaving just one section in the bow area. From what I have observed on capital ships in game, most ships have two sections forward and two sections aft without armour. Rodney is currently the only exception having three unarmoured sections forward. Btw the 3rd is the one that being talked to death by people atm as it contains the forward two main calibre magazine. I think the most likely solution we might get is to rearrange the first three sections so the 3rd one will stay fully inside citadel.
is there any way to see where the sections are without getting them flooded or having to go into the files which i struggle with.
Use protection analysis, shoot at anywhere of the hull and the section that being hit will be highlighted.

well the flooding seems slightly better i got down to 35% with one section flooded and stayed there under constant fire for the rest of the game i did nothing as everything was broken but i was alive
The issue though, is that you’ve been hullbreached in a section unarmoured and that has caused the flooding of your front 2 guns which means they have like 2 minute reloads for the rest of the game. That point in the armour can be breached WAY too easily because it has no armour. They need to seperate the forward turrets and the section just before it and then that flooding wont be an issue. Also would be good if each turret was its own section as well.

Just another Gaijin’s mistake it is. This game is never ready for more ‘powerful and famous’ battleship they promise. I think they are worse than they were at 2022 or last year.
It’s already been reported as a bug.
bit late to ask but why is this even a rule as navel is mixed and what if you family has servered on the ship and you wanted to get the ship but did not play russia why should you have to grind russia
So is there any more improvements coming for Rodney, or that’s it for now? Because sinking is still an issue, which leads to already long reload getting even longer…
I know they plan to improve accuracy on large caliber guns, so that will help with poor damage output. Hopefully soon🤞
Sinking seems to have gotten better, it still happens a lot but not as quickly. Reload seems like it will stay the same for now judging by this:
Im not expecting much for another few weeks. The devs have only just gotten back from holiday (orthodox christmas is 7th of Jan) and naval is the second lowest priority for devs just before Air Sim.
So hopefully we’ll see a rework of her water-tight compartments sometime in 2025
