Brightness Bug?

The third person view and sideways view in cockpit are darker than usual. The brightness visibly goes up when you start to look at the cockpit HUD. I’ve been noticing this since the Dance of Dragons update. Is anyone else facing this issue or is it just me?

I’ve attached a video where you can notice that looking at the cockpit HUD can trigger the increase in brightness.

Edit: I have raised a bug report regarding this. Please bump it up if you face the same issue.

I have the same.
It’s like when you walk from a bright room into a darker room, it’s dark for a moment and after a few seconds your eyes start to adjust and it gets brighter.

i feel like arb got this too

I thought my Reverb was just dying more…

Anyone use PSVR2 with PC? I may be in the market for a new headset (even if this is a bug).

I noticed it as well in Air AB, also naval battles, which I play in RB mode. I think in the recent past there have been many that complained of “nuclear sun” and I had to do some adjusting since I began using HDR. It was not too bad for me then. But I have a Windows Display option I was using for a long time because of the lighting in my “Command Center” called Night Light, and it shaded things down just a bit. At any rate, I turned the Night Light thing off and everything looks fine now. Not sure if this applies to anyone else, but it was a quick and easy fix for me. I also noticed that the “haze” seems stronger as well. There are several things you can turn off in the graphics settings and they will still appear in your games. You can set "Particle Density all the up or off, explosions and the like still look the same. I turn shadows off everywhere possible, still get shadows all over. Set tires tracks for tanks to none, you still see tire tracks everywhere . . . and so on. I basically turn off these things to lessen the strain on my gpu as many are not that important to me or my game play. The “lighting” ahs always been one of those things you really have a hard time adjusting, and then an Update comes and it might change(not constant with every Update like sound, but . . . lol).
PostFX used to and still does help to an extent, but not always. Hardware can also play a big part in all of it too. The only other thing that kinda mystifies me is how the graphics settings in the launcher and the one in game are really a lot different. Somethings have different names(not that big of a deal) but there are a few settings that are in game and not in the launcher and I can’t figure out why
I hope some can benefit from the “Night Light” thing . . . may just be a band-aid for now, but it helped me. I’m old and can’t see all that great anymore, so I need all the help I can find . . ☻

I have the exact same issue. Don’t know how they managed to break it.

Same, the game in general looks darker, I thought I was tripping balls.

I play SAB on Xbox Series S, and have a similar problem, green HUD, especially jets, are too bright or washed out and basically useless on some maps. This makes bombing ground targets very difficult as the CCIP is not always clearly visible.

I tried to change the HUD color, but that changes the radar not the actual HUD. Changing the gun sight aim point color does nothing to the HUD color.

Most of the color choices are too bright most of the time or barely readable.

Not sure if it my TV, I am planning to replace it by then of this year.

Anybody else have the same issue?

It seems like they added pupil dilation, so when you are inside the cockpit the pupil opens for better seeing the cockpit, and the exterior can be a litle overexplosed.
It’s a nice feature if you have HDR, but wihout HDR it’s a wannabe
