It’s fine at 8.3, it just suffers from compression. It’s better than every unstabilized 8.0 and it’s BR should reflect that.
It could easily be 8.0 and still be not good to play.
It should be at 8.0/8.3 but Gaijin is happy nerfing vehicles and not changing their BRs. It would also give France a much needed SPAA at 8.0/8.3.
This feels AI, but the real reason is that Gaijin doesn’t actually care about balance beyond if their statistics say it’s good.

The 30 mm HE rounds in-game have incorrect filler content as far as I’m aware.
HEI should have 36 g (61.2 g TNT eqv) instead of 60 g (102 g TNT eqv).
HEI-T should have 26 g (44.2 g TNT eqv) instead of 50 g (85 g TNT eqv).
Would this nerf change your outlook at all? I have little personal investment in the DCA’s BR, but I figure this information could be relevant to discussing BR changes to it.

Youre ignoring all the advantages MARS has for its BR and highlighting out weaknesses, comparing whats effectively a light fast sniper to MBTs and expect absolute parity in capability.

Yeah this is rather silly. How the hell is this thing still above Gepard and Type 87, while having worse ammo and no tracking radar? Because it shoots a bit faster, reverse speed?
Identical shell to ZSU37 (probably not realistic but it is what it is), lower firerate but better radar. The armor being better is questionable, actually kind of similar to the AMX30 and it’s just autocannon food like most vehicles of it’s kind.

AMX-30 S DCA employs Cast homogeneous armor while the chinese PGZ88 RHA at 7.7
Compliment taken. The point stands regardless: Gaijin’s statistics-driven balance misses why these vehicles are abandoned in the first place
