BR Changes now that IS-2 is 6.0

Now that the IS-2 is 6.0 and 6.3 for the 1944 I think some vehicle also deserve BR changes
Here are the vehicles that I think should get downtiered :

Chi-Ri II 5.7 > 5.3, It’s really just a bigger Chi-To (4.7) with a 37mm cannon and a faster reload, that 37mm doesnt really help you that much except for sometime baiting enemies, the faster reload does help tho but I still think 5.7 is a bit exagerated.

M4A3 76 5.7 > 5.3, It’s just an M4A2 76 (5.3) but it’s slower for the trade off of more horsepower and a bit less side armor which isnt that big of a difference and they’re nearly the same tank but one is 5.7.

Jumbo 76 6.3 > 6.0, The IS-2 is an IS-1 but with a better gun so why shouldnt the Jumbo 76 be 6.0 too since it’s a Jumbo but with a better gun. Currently you get constant uptiers especially with the Ho-Ri Production grind.

T20 & T25 6.3 > 6.0, They really are just better shermans, nothing really stands out, the T26 is like the T25 except its slower but at the same time it has better armor, same for the T20, it realy doesnt get anything special except mobility the rest is really lackluster, these are just playable vehicles they dont really have anything that stands up for them.

M26 6.7 > 6.3, All of it’s better variants are at 6.7 and it’s armor is only useful against tigers which you dont get downtiered often, your cannon is still weaker than the long 88mm or 122mm and your mobility is close to a sherman but you dont have a stabilizer

LeKPz M41 6.7 > 6.3, It’s like a 6.3 M41 but it gets heat, it sounds good on paper but the heat on this is really mediocre, you’re better off using the apds that all the other M41 at 6.3 also have, the M36B2 at 5.7 for exemple has better heat and similar armor while also getting aphe so I dont think it should be 6.7 just because of the heat.

I think the jumbo 76 is fine. The 76 is a much more direct upgrade vompared to the 122 because the 122 trades away a huge amount of reload speed and flexibility

The only tanks in this poll that could, and probably should, get changed are the Chi Ri, T25 and M26.

The LeKpz M41, T20, M4A3(76) and 76 Jumbo are all more or less fine at their current BRs.

the IS2 and Tiger 2 (early turret) shouldnt have moved down and compressed low tier harder

what is currently 6.7 could easily be decompressed to become BR 8.0, and yes everything above ought to be decompressed aggressively too

Other than the Jumbo 76, none of these need to go down. You’re underestimating how good the M4A3 76 is with a stabilizer. I often prefer taking that over the M41 at a BR higher when playing Japan.

It’s good but it’s not 6.3 good.

It’s one of the better 6.3s lol. It’s probably the vehicle in this poll that needs a BR reduction the least.

The Chi Ri, T25 and M26 are all worse off at their current BRs.

I thimk the m26 should stay, but the t25 should be 6.0 as it lost it stabaliser and its not that fast and armor is not that protective

T25 is fine where it sits as a medium tank with amazing reverse and being a sidegrade to the M26. I could see M26 going to 6.3 though, forgot about that.

Chi-Ri at battle rating 5.3 with that much firepower and mobility is laughable. Battle rating changes doesn’t orbit a single vehicle by using “Now that [x] is at battle rating [y.y] then these others should be also moved]” argument isn’t helpful.

Although battle rating changes seems simple on paper by just adjusting some values here and there you need to take into consideration the other vehicles that didn’t get affected with battle rating changes, which probably Gaijin didn’t when they considered the Tiger II 1-50.

What we really need is for the entire 5.7-7.7 br rang to be de compressed by at least a BR level. This would prevent people from facing tiger II in only Sherman’s (not jumbo) and would make the match outcome less decided by chance and more determined by skill

I agree, but unfortunately it would slow matchmaking quite a bit at certain BRs

Well, since to ho ri would be at a different level, 5.7-6.7 would be deserted because who doesn’t want to play the ho ri?😀
