Eh… the issue there is basically what happened when the Gripen was added. The meta was Gun+IR and the Gripen dominated so much so they artificially nerfed it through the floor and everyone complained constantly.
Typhoon, Gripen E and Rafale would be the only competitive aircraft at top tier without ARH as the meta would largely be Gun+IR still. The US, USSR and a few others would absically be DOA at top tier.
ARH is the great equalizing, the BVR meta switches the focus away from pure dogfighting performance. It allows greatly different aircraft performances to be at comprable BRs. Like a Tornado F3 should never be the same BR as the Gripen A and yet it can be thanks to AMRAAM.
The choice was basically take the game back to pre-summer 2022 and leave top tier largely as F-4 vs Mig-23 or add ARH.

i dont remeber JAS39 being op because i was always able to match it if he trys for gun plus ir you extend and use Radar if you know hes better at BFM
and im pretty sure back then no one knew how to flare 9M if hes a better BFM plane you can just use skill to match or beat it which most premium noobs cant is the problem
on reason euro fighter dominates so hard in gun fight meta is its TWR which no other can match currently cause the counters arent added for example i can match F16s in the F14 cause im a better pilot and know how to play to there strengths majority of balance problems come from premium players premium players dont know how to play to there planes strengths hence the balance problem

EFT’s radar is a buggy mess that barely works half the time. Its easily the weakest radar at 14.0 currently.
Id not be using TWS in a gunfight, I might use IRST HMD to give EEGS, but im not usingTWS thats for sure
Even if CAPTOR-M was at 100% performance (spoilers, its barely like 10% of its IRL performance currently) the counter is AESA radars… whcih are already in game.
In fact the CAPTOR-M is so problematic, we are already trying to get it replaced with CAPTOR-E. The Typhoons AESA radar.

In that, case yes, though even then… In a BVR the F-15E easily matches the Typhoon in a hard climb and in a dogfight HOBS missile like the Magic II and R-73 equalize the advantages the EFT has. In fact id gladly trade some of that TWR for HOBS at the moment. Like seriosuly, give me my ASRAAMs already, im fed up of these Aim-9Ms
Though again, the counters are already in game, at least some of them, like the Rafale and F-15E. Next addition has to be Gripen E and something comprable for China
yeah but the F15E is a brick which is why i main the F15C but the enngines are to weak to keep up there are other variants that could be added as better BFM counters which makes me a lil annoyed some times

On short/medium range, they’re better than R-77-1s and every 120 variant.
It’s only at long range where they don’t have the tools to do anything at all, and so is any other missile except the aforementioned.
MICAs turn better, have narrower notch width, and holds a competitive speed compared to its peers.

mica simply cause of the radar the rafale has PL12 is pretty underated tho
I still dont really think the US need anything significantly stronger than what they’ve already got. So they cant win gunfights, they have other strengths instead. Also the US doesnt operate the F-15SA. Likewise for the Soviets, tenatively, they are perfectly competitive with the SU-30SM.
For Britain. All we want is the Typhoon FGR4 to be fixed. It has so many issues and bugs that its just not fun to play. After that, if/when that happens, it can just get a steady stream of upgrades. What im hoping is that eventually it will be “replaced” at 14.0 by the Typhoon F2, allowing the FGR4 to then just steadily increase in BR. Maybe reach a point where then they’ll add the Typhoon FGR4 Centurion for the end of life upgrades. Though that would probably include CAPTOR-E and we need CAPTOR-E sooner rather than later
id rather them add the F15SA as F15EX is too good right now
